Eh?The pulse 9700xt at 629 is starting to look good if you don't care about ray tracing.
I meant the 7900xtEh?
It's pretty decent at raytracing by all accounts?
Dunno where you're looking, but the only ones I've seen are either pre-orders (still above MSRP) or the odd one in stock massively above MSRP. Providing you aren't hallucinating, I would suggest the only reason they are allegedly 'readily in stock' is because they are at a price that only an idiot would pay.

I nearly jumped on a 7900XTX for £780 last night.

I meant the way prices keep bumping up anything at MSRP is starting to look good. And it's 100 less than most 9700xt with very similar performance except ray tracing…and?

After having a look, I bottled it anyway.Too much

I know it is the trouble is the only 9700xt I got the option to buy on launch was 720 for the nitro. The performance in raster is only just better than the 7900xt. The base 9700 are now that price (620)with worse raster. I have been waiting since November to buy a new card. It's for my son's birthday in April I really wanted to get a AMD card this time but may end up with either a 7900xt or overpay for a Nvidia because I do not want to have no card for his pc for his birthday. Therefore looking if I had to buy today I would probably go for the 7900xt. Im holding on hoping stock of cheaper models come in but anything above 670 I think I might be better just getting a 7900xt
