*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

What do you mean? Was it not a 5070Ti?
It'll be possibly one of the 70Ti's with reported ROPS missing - basically making the card around 10-15% worst than it should be.

You can usually get an idea when you ask them to send you a screenshot of GPU-Z and they stop replying...

Phishing Scams and How to Spot ThemPhishing is a type of online scam that targets consumers by sending them an e-mail that appears to be from a well-known source – an internet service provider, a bank, or a mortgage company, for example. It asks the consumer to provide personal identifying information.

Seller sent me an email with the link to the auction site. When I search for 5070ti on the website it wasn't there for that price.

After this messy release and the amateur hour from OcUK, I'm glad I didn't bother.

If I can buy one for <£600 soon, I probably will. That would meet my "worth it to me" test. If not, well, never mind.

On the plus side, it reminded me that I've been running my 7800XT at stock since I got it. No idea why. So I undervolted it yesterday. Free extra performance and it's using less power. I could probably overclock it too. 49C under load (Steel Nomad benchmark), so thermals aren't an issue.

Yeah I want one but not at these prices and I'm certainly not overpaying for one. I'll check again in 2-3 months. I may in fact look to refresh my CPU instead, but I might even hold out for Zen6. 9070XT is certainly a cracking card and the 9070 looks very efficient. They're just overpriced atm for what they are. :)

Forgetting price for a minute. Which 9070xt has best performance and/or overclocking potential?

I haven't seen too many overclocking reviews outside of derbeuer(sp?) and it wasn't particularly effective.

here are some results for cards that TPU tested

In general the cards with better coolers seem to hit higher OC. Also cards with higher power limit end up faster overall.

not 9070
Jayz2c was after Asus Astral 5090 specifically for [extreme] OC
apparently cards on top of leaderbord are mostly these

OCUK has raised the base card prices to £650 now. What a sad state of affairs. I was reluctant to pay the £630 but now I reckon it's time to wait for next gen.
I'm hoping Intel's next gen is good and priced well, seem like AMD is only interested in high margins now.

I'm going to laugh if people start paying £700+ for these and then the 5070ti quickly becomes much more available at it's RRP...

5070tis seem to be in stock quite readily now and staying there...

Dunno where you're looking, but the only ones I've seen are either pre-orders (still above MSRP) or the odd one in stock massively above MSRP. Providing you aren't hallucinating, I would suggest the only reason they are allegedly 'readily in stock' is because they are at a price that only an idiot would pay.
