*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

'Not a budget brand' iirc what Lisa Su said, can't see it myself. Delusional and I almost WANT them to lose a load more marketshare now tbh.
Until they release the prices, I’ll remain comfortable in my delusion. It’s much more fun this way. There’ll be plenty of time for disappointment later.
£200 9060
£275 9060xt
£350 9070
£450 9070xt
Might actually sell some cards if they priced it like this.

If they can sell a chiplet 7800XT at $499 then I don't see why they can't sell a monolithic 9070XT at that same price point or even lower and still make profit. Nvidia are going to price their 12GB 5070 above $600 most likely. Even if it's only $100 difference, to go Nvidia you'd be paying 20% more for a GPU with likely worse raw power and 4GB less VRAM which can be the difference between being a 1440p or a budget 4k card.
Will it have less raw power though? Assuming the 5070 is 20% faster than the 4070 it’ll be neck and neck in raster compared to a 7900GRE. So similar raster, but better features for the 5070. Will probably still out sell by 5:1.

its got nothing to do with antitrust laws. from what i understand nvidia is pricing the cards high because they are capacity constrained, and amd too is capacity constrained.. the entire industry is capacity constrained, prices will be what they are, competition or not, but still consumers like to have many options in general even if they are being offered at the same price

Guess we'll have to find out happy FSR 4 hardware driven for upscaling we'll have to see, and I want my next card to have 16gb vram minimum not 12gb

People on Reddit are so mad that their rx7000 gpu won't support fsr4. Really it was predictable though - sure it's painful, because rtx2000 from 7 years ago can still run the latest dlss today and now amd is wiping the slate clean and needs to build up a library of supported titles for fsr4, but this was sorely needed as AMD's commercial customers such as Sony had lost faith in fsr

Question I have, will 7900xtx owners here make a downgrade from their 7900xtx to get better image quality with fsr4??

I was hoping for some support but I totally understand why. Problem for me now is that because there is no high end and the raster is likely the same or similar to my GRE I will likely stick as there isn't much to offer people like myself and I have no interest in Nvidia unless its mid to high end and I won't pay those prices.

Just posting this for info, I know we've all probably seen it already. Helps to visualise where the series stacks up.

so not focusing on the mid range then

7900xt is midrange for this next gen, if you consider the third or fourth card down totem pole midrange (which has been ...70 for nV or ...800 for AMD for a while now).

Looking at this visualization, there's a whole bracket of cards that will exist in the ecosystem with RX 9070 and 9060 series not shown, namely 5070 ti, 5080 and 5090.

It's upper-midrange, but still midrange, in my view.

Yep I've seen a few places call it "upper-midrange" now as well. Anyway it's just one graphic. Probs shouldn't read too much into it.

so a badly drawn image then.

Price is everything, if this is circa 4070ti then it needs to come in under in or $500, otherwise what's the point again. AMD did say they were going for a bigger slice of the wider market so thay better price it right, otherwise it will be another hub ripping for team radeon.

I don’t know how I’d feel if I’d spent big on a XTX recently like on social media they were flexing but now they’re crying.

I also feel like crying a bit as I can’t afford either the 9070xt nor the 50 series lol.
