Does anyone think there is the slightest chance that AMD are actually downplaying the gaming on the FE by switching off features that could add 20% - 30% of gaming performance? To actually turn up at Siggraph with a 1080Ti competitor???? I mean, they seem to have done a great job with Ryzen.....surely you would expect them to also be able to do it with Vega. Hope springs eternal and we will all know in a few weeks, I guess.

I'm sure they'll find way's to give 1080ti plus performance like they did with the Fury X which beat the 980ti in every result AMD gave us prior to release.

That's quite something. Looks like I need to get a pair of Titan Xp's then. :D

Playing devil's advocate here, surely people who are interested in flagship Vega couldn't care less about power requirements? If you're going to drop £500~ on a GPU, it seems unlikely you have a low-mid range PSU.

£500??? Let's hope so.

I think I would get a Titan Xp as it is a lot cheaper than one of these

It is very rare that you can put the words Titan, NVidia and Value in the same sentence but thanks to AMD it is possible.

And don't forget all the electricity you will save going green with a Titan Xp lol.

Hard to say, you cannot use the FE as reference, Rx is supposed to have other features that saves power consumption like rasterization.
Si Best is to wait for Rx reviews
yeah i guess so. hopefully there will be more info from the event in Hungary

Oh man, if it is true that RX Vega "equals or is close to gtx 1080 performance" it will be so disappointing unless prices for under £400.

Wheres the 'Never Got On The Hype-Train' Poll option ? :p

I have access to add that to the poll as I am thread creator. I would add it, but don't want to end up suspended :p

If RX Vega performs the same as the FE, and it's priced high, while sucking power I hope they make it look like the last AMD (ATI) GPU that did the same. :D
