I kinda want an AIO, as long as the pump doesn't sound like a cat having its tail stepped on.

The loudest parts of my system are the chassis fans, HDDs, and 980Ti Hybrid pump, in the order from lowest, to loudest. Noctua D15s is near inaudible, even when rendering for hours.

If it's ( Vega xtx ) a screecher I won't be happy, even if the price to performance is right. Hopefully we do get some amazing AIB versions; the Fury has fantastic solutions.
I had my fisrt and only experience with the Fury X using an AIO and it was bloody good in truth. I got lucky with no coil whine though but I couldn't big it up enough.

I want to tbh, just for ****s and giggles :D

Yeah, but modern "enthusiasts" are their own worst enemy. They seem to be under the impression they have no control over companies and how much they charge for things.

I love how so many moan about having to pay "ripoff" prices for computer parts, then pay the said prices for parts since they lack any self control just because they "need" to run a game right now,and "need" to turn a few settings up,especially during the summer with such nice weather.

First world problems.

:D

My Fury X was the same. It was actually quieter than my current GPU Hybrid that's fitted with a noctua fan.

I really like that AMD are using a Gentle Typhoon on their radiators essentially; the fan has a lovely sound profile underload.

My concern is them using Cooler Master again; their initial batches were terrible. Shame they didn't opt for Asetek, despite the extremely complex and expensive cooling solution on the AIO Frontier Edition.

On the flip side, if 75% of people pay the new prices and 25% don't, then prices stay high and the 25% gain nothing (they just never buy because prices never fall).

I'm not caving in, but because of this I don't expect nV to lower prices, instead I expect to leave PC gaming behind.

Just concerned if we have to wait for 1 more month after those 10 Loooooooonnnnggggg days..no previews yet thats just alarming

How come this brand has loyal followers?
Vega would by first amd card.. but seriously if i were an amd fan... i would have sold my loyalty on ebay at 95% discount

Yea there is something suspicious going on. We haven't had any leaks at all or pics of PCBs etc....

I worry that come the 30th it will just be a paper launch with no retailers with any stock for weeks.

I just want a clearer idea what GPU to buy, so have to wait for Vegas launch.

Also don't want to buy at prices that might drop once it launches.

TBH,dude I have not caved in once in the last decade, and yet always paid what I roughly budgeted for and still run new games on my desktop and the same goes with all my mates.

In the end nobody is forcing you to run a game right now -if my system can't run a game now to a reasonable level,I am quite happy to wait and run other games, and upgrade it at an appropriate time.

The same goes with all my enthusiast friends and a few work in the computing industry themselves in R and D,etc.

There are 1000s and 1000s of games out there - we are massively spoilt for choice. Its like all those people who "need" the latest smartphone or car. How much of that "need" is "want"?

How many PC gamers joke in other threads on how they have 100s of games in their libraries, most of which they hardly play??

The issue with computer forums they seem to over-estimate how much hardware you need for 99% of games. Its why I find YT a treasure trove of information when it comes to seeing how games run.

Is it a surprise?? Nope, since this is not a gaming forum, but one based around acquiring new shiny computer hardware as a hobby in itself!!

:p

Don't get me wrong talking about new hardware and new tech is very interesting as is the speculation about things, but in the end you don't need to leave PC gaming behind especially since you have an RX480 4GB(IIRC) and you will be fine with plenty of games.

If the odd game comes along you can't run,put it into the "will play in the future" list and enjoy all the other great titles out there.

Pretty much my attitude. I'm waiting to see what happens with Vega, if it's overpriced, then my current PC will just have to manage and I'll use it to play what it can until either the market for GPU's becomes more competitive, or if it stays with an Nvidia monopoly and prices remain ridiculously high then I'll leave PC gaming behind.

I'm already half way there with owning a PS4 Pro and Xbox One

Does that mean it wont get a green energy saving grade A sticker?

There you go

So launch after 10 days
Prepare to blame the unfinished drivers and find other excuses, because reviews will not be flattering.

We are soon going to need:

1) The pre-warmup release Vega Thread
2) The warmup release VEGA Thread
3) The last few hours pre-release 'fluffing' Vega thread
4) The Vega Release Thread
5) The Paper Launch Vega Emotional Safe space hugs and kisses thread
6) The 'I told you so' Vega thread.
7) Vega Owners Thread (probably at least 15 days after the 'launch'.

I realize I've probably missed a few official threads out here, like the 'Vega Popcorn' thread... but I tried to keep it concise.....
