As mentioned before at Siggraph AMD will "let the cat out of the bag" with their Vega optimsed drivers delivering at least a 60% performance boost; along with RX Vega which is based on an improved revision and stepping. So it'll be less power hungry than the Frontier Edition; and have Tiled Based Rasterization enabled.

Expect at least overclocked Titan Xp performance from the water cooled Vega XTX version coming. /s

Rubbish we all know it will end up being 50% faster than Titan Xp and once drivers develop more be faster than SLI'ed ones

These prices are not real not given the anticipated performance of vega everyone is expecting. Unless AMD have been sandbagging us and they really have a 1080ti beater something like beating it by 40% to justify those prices and we all know that is not gonna happen. So its likely just bogous prices given out by AMD to hide the RRP of their cards to prevent NVIDA from taking pre-emptive action before launch. AMD have said price performance is where VEGA is at.

Prices in some markets are often significantly inflated in comparison to US/EU so quite possible that these are correct but not reflective of what we'll see. I may be way off base though, would need to check historical card prices in SA.

To be fair to AMD stock will probably get gobbled up by miners if they price it normally so it might be in gamers' interest for the price to be artificially high at launch. I've said it before but I don't think HBM is condusive to getting supply out in massive numbers as they have to combine the memory with each GPU which I'm assuming is a specialised process, whereas with GDDR5 you just attach standard chips to a PCB it's much simpler and any PCB assembly plant can do it.

Does HBM play nice with mining on furys? If not miners wont want these either.

The type of memory shouldn't really matter whether you have HBM or GDDR it's the overall bandwidth that matters. I just mentioned HBM because I think there'll be stock shortages again like with Fury because of it which is also likely to drive up prices.

Lets say AMD charge £500 then miners will be all over Vega, whereas if they set price at £700 or so (I doubt £1000 is true unless it's TitanXP beater) then miners may be less likely to buy it so at least those gamers who want one and are willing to pay for the privilege stand a better chance. Gamers who want good value and plenty of stock at launch are probably going to be annoyed regardless of what AMD do unless AMD have been building up massive stockpiles (unlikely).
