Hi guys, just wanted to share the prices in the biggest spanish distributor. (they appeared for a while then got removed).
CJww6

First one is the liquid cooled 64, second regular 64, third the 64 limited edition .
I dunno why in here the price for the reference is the same as the limited edition, maybe they both come with a bundle.
edit: i dont know how to post images-> http://imgur.com/a/CJww6

I think you misunderstood, I wasn't saying efficiency was just theoretical. I was saying that while the idea that high efficiency doesn't equal quality/reliability is true in theory, in practice it does equal quality/reliability because you only get quality high end PSUs with platinum rating.

Ah yes quite right too.

There have been various post about the Limited and the Standard being the same price at various outlets around the world.

Do these prices include VAT? Is Spanish VAT 21%?

My point was what they did wasn't even covered by NDA.

All the did was show how TIM spreads on a IHS the size of Threadrippers, and that size has been public knowledge for months.

Usually even the date NDA ends, is under NDA and it is not to be published. Everything about the products, specs, feel of it when you put it in you back pocket, release date is under NDA. Gamernexus gets greedy for views and publishes information they are under contract not to publish. Its AMDs product and they can give anyone priority if that is what they want. And it seems they gave someone priority to publish something. Its just the same when Linus had priority to show Vega, Threadripper and other medias trow a hissy fit when they couldnt make money of cliks and videos first. Braking contracts to make a buck is pretty ****** way to do business.

they lack the double precision math that many HPC and some AI workloads require. With subsequent Vega processors, AMD is expected to boost the performance of the Vega GPUs on double precision math, starting with the Vega 20 in 2018 if the rumors are right

As I said, have to wait until Vega 20 for AMD to be a serious player in GPU HPC again. Vega 10 should get some interest from deep learning community, but they will have to do a lot of work on software support.

Yes they do(vat is about 18% i believe), but i still find it weird that the cheaper option is still about 100e more expensive than the uk price according to->

Official prices USD are:
  • RX Vega 64 Reference Design ~£460
  • RX Vega 64 Limited Edition ~£550
  • RX Vega 64 Liquid ~£650

Why have an NDA then allow certain sites exclusive access to break it? Just seems like favouritism on AMDs part.

Propably because they wanted to get some press and give people some information trough media they trust not to do things like this

And AMD doesent have to give these reviewers anything if they dont want to. If you want stuff from AMD and sign contract, you play by their rules.

They're not actual prices, they're converted to pounds from the official US dollar prices.

This might clarify the pricing of the standard / limited edition

https://videocardz.com/71776/amd-is-trying-to-sell-radeon-rx-vega-64-at-a-higher-price

From Europe to Asia, retailers are told that Vega 64 will be sold at higher price than first advertised. It appears that AMD is trying to sell both blower type cards for the same price, which is 599 USD.

AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 and Vega 56 reviews coming this monday

It appears that AMD decided to sample RX Vega 56 (the cut-down version) to reviewers just recently. The NDA on reviews ends on August 14th, while embargo on unboxing ends tomorrow. We are talking about both Vega graphics cards.

Interestingly, according to GamersNexus AMD asked reviewers to prioritize Vega 56 over Vega 64:

“As of today, AMD noted that RX Vega 56 cards have been shipped to reviewers, along with a request that reviewers specifically “prioritize coverage” of RX Vega 56 over RX Vega 64 under time-constrained conditions.”

You mean give the exclusives to your "friends" - We scratch your back.............

There's not much choice when your competitors are telling websites how to test your products. You think Intel and Nvidia are above putting pressure on websites to get the results to go a certain way when AMD products are launched?

Websites aren't much more than extensions of a company's marketing campaign.

Ok they "broke" NDA, but what I was pointing out in my last comment, that even though they broke NDA (others did too) it's not a smart move to lock out an influencial tech reviewer, yeah if he'd have posted FPS and all that, the cut off would have been well deserved and I wouldn't have found that surprising. But big companies like AMD should be putting situations in to context, there's breaking NDA then there's "Breaking NDA", GN didn't give out any information that wasn't already known, and the video was informative and he is the only one that covered this thermal paste situation to this extent even after NDA lift. I believe context matters when taking this type of decision.

Think I just buying the Aircooled 64 and Hoping Corsair Release a new version of the HG10 or something. No chance I paying close to £600 WTH AMD
Hope we see the watercooled version on sale alone without the added cost of bundle
