Rather than a cube, It should come with a pack of vega marshmallows so you can toast them at the back of your case while gaming.
You laugh but "back in the day" a friend of mine had his computer desk set up behind his couch so he could watch TV while playing World of Warcraft (living the dream). And the exhaust heat from his Geforce 4 Ti4200 OTES managed to slow burn the hair on the head of a dude sitting on the couch XD

$499 converted to pounds is £383, at that price I would have it, but let's be honest it's going to be £499
Or more.

For me vega only fails at price and kinda power consumption but who cares about that at 500quid gpu??
Liquid should have been 450-500 and then id say vega is good

I do. Not because of the power itself. But power means heat. A power hungry card WILL BE a hot hot hot card.
The actual data processing only requires a minute amount of power. 99% of the power in a card is turned to heat (due to inefficiencies in several things). So a 500W card will make near as damned 500w of heat. Whereas a 100w card will only make 100w of heat. Vega is going to be stinking hot.

Ok, but who's still ordering one in the hope that all the reviews are wrong and new drivers will be a massive improvement :D

Whether I order one depends on how they price the liquid model.
It's annoying how this late in the day they are still claiming they only have BETA drivers,
All that does is give the dreamers another reason to make excuses for Vega,
which I suppose is what AMD want.
It's all about price now. $699 for the water cooled is a lot and if UK sellers make it a one for one currency conversion
or worse more than that we might as well give up on AMD for gaming.
I'm tired of being shafted.

Has anyone seen any of the unboxing video's for the RX Vega? I find it gulling that reviewers are getting press samples that have been beautifully packaged yet AMD's customers are expected to cough up £500/£600 for performance that's been available for a year now and get cards in standard boxes.

I just don't understand those power figures and the performance, surely AMD know performance per watt is quite important for many. Is it a case of not having a good hold on this architecture yet and it won't mature till a few generations down the line?

if you pay more than £550 for the liquid cooler then you are being taken for a ride. Its not worth it unless you like the looks or heat or even both.

Agreed. Who (other than militant fanboys) are going to pay £550 for a Vega 64 with drivers that "hopefully" improve. When they can get a tried and tested, faster, lower power 1080Ti for an extra £50.

What i find really funny is all the people who have been saying "dont buy gsync because it locks you in to getting shafted by nvidia prices"

Hahahah amd baned the review still its up on video cards

Guess they wont get navi for review :p

This is one of the reason why NOT to buy VEGA. AMD silly behaviour and nonsense with regards to performance number and silly NDA.
Everyone has know for weeks they have a sour lemon of a card. Why these silly NDA, its like NVIDIA does not know the performance of VEGA many months ago, who they trying to fool.

The air con in my bedroom is rated to 3550w cooling, bring it on AMD :P
