I bought a 1080 a few months ago, couldn't wait any more on the AMD response and looks like the decision didn't punish me. Not that what AMD have offered is bad, just no better than the 1080 at the moment.
It's just sad
Sad that the only think I'm really excited for now is a console. A bloomin' console. I thought I'd be a PC gamer for life. But I just can't afford the cost. My 2500k is coming to the end of its useful life, my motherboard is dying (slowly), GPU is past it... and just those three components will cost me £1000 to get up to snuff.
Can't do it

I know its disappointing, a year late and a power hungry beast, but I'm still very happy at my purchase. I've had 390 crossfire for years, the past year it's been disabled so just been running one 390 on a 1440p 144hz freesync screen.
Plus another £200 for a Win 10 license, as mine is tied to my motherboard.£330 GTX1070 Zotac mini (dual fan)
£190 R5 1600 (£230 for i5 7600k)
£100 B350 AM4 (£120 for Z270 board)
£620 ... plus £120 for 16gb DDR4 RAM I guess ... Still, £740 for all 4 components is solid. £865 if you include the cheapest GTX1080 as well (add £60 across the board for Intel option, not that I personally would buy or recommend any 4c/4t CPU again, in 2017, under any circumstances, except for the r3 1200 for a super budget build)
I understand what your saying and feel for you ...but surly to get just above console performance on a pc should not cost that much ??
I was tempted but going to hold out for custom cooling, I think the 56 could be a good buy if there's any overclocking in it

Sorry, £150 for an OEM copy here£200? In what reasonable universe? Just use an unverified version for free, or get one of those £10 OEM keys off a reseller ... lol

The £10 ones are not legit, obviously.

yep, they got water blocks as well.Your two 390's will probably sell to miners for more than you paid for the vega !!
Saying "PC gaming is cheap as long as you pirate the OS" is a bit disingenuous tbh.
