Just fitted my dedicated 12pin cable from corsair.
It's a simple thing and very pointless in a case without a window but £20 to ease my OCD was well worth it

My computer is benching slower than the average which needs investigating, but still 99% faster than most gaming PC's. I'm leaning towards it being CPU related rather than GPU but will have to work it out. It's still miles faster than before.
VR games are running so much better, which was the main reason for the upgrade, even Oculus games via Revive on the Index have much improved performance and look amazing.
Noticed the same thing with 3D Mark when I checked benchmarks when I upgraded my system to an RTX3090 and 5600X CPU with everything running at stock. You'll find that a lot of the benchmarks logged are running with some sort of overclock applied somewhere, so the fact you are below average is probably nothing to worry about - if your GPU score is about 19k in Timespy then you are fine.
I'm also running CV1 and your comments on whether to go for a Quest are interesting - playing Space Pirate Trainer without being tethered by a cable with the improved resolution sounds appealing.
I really hope resizeable bar will be available on the Z390 platforms, im guessing it will be done via a bios update. Really dont want to upgrade again just to take advantage of this extra few % in performance.
Dont mind bios updates as they're usually quick and easy one click solutions. Just hope it actually gets rolled out, fingers crossed.Yeah it could mean a BIOS for mobo and gpu cards to get it going.
5950x and 3090 were pushing the poor 510 Elite to its limit in terms of its already limited thermal capabilities
Finally managed to get a O11D and it looks so much better and a lot more room to breath. Crazy that in a case this size, it’s still millimetres away from touching the glass. Will eventually get a vertical mounting kit when proper PCIe 4 riser cables are available
Also, I had no idea until I opened iCUE that the founders cards have controllable RGB. The light at the top, managed to make it purple rather than white to fit in with the rest of the lighting. Shame you can’t do the same with the text
Yeah I'm getting around 19,000 GPU in Timespy, so no need to worry.
I get 19,086 with everything stock on an AMD 3800X, 16gb 3000 ram and KFA2 3090 SG. I'm getting 100fps average in BFV trileau map with everything Ultra including Ultra RT. The reflections in the puddles look nice but it's just eye candy.
