There's quite a lot of anime for Summer. I think 'God Eater', 'Overlord' and 'Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakeri' may be the sort of thing you're after. I'm sure there will be others too.

Not really had a chance to really look yet ... although this season I have been enjoying Plastic Memories, Show by Rock, Re-Kan!, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (season 2), Ore Monogatari!! and Hibike! Euphonium ... some of which will be ongoing ...
I did give this a little watch sometime ago but never got very far. I'm going to give this another go once I've finished watching Hunter X Hunter.
if i remember correctly there are two anime films that just recap the series but with some new scenes, plus a live action film (but have heard rumor of a second live action film) and season 2 of attack on titans is in the works and should be out some time next year.

Just binged 7 episode of s2 of Knights of Sidonia on netflix, can't wait to finish it over the next few days.
Recommend anyone who's got netflix and not watched it to give it ago
spend the weekending watching both the first and second season of Knights of Sidonia. then today as I finally gotten around to watching "from the new world"

I just started watching Attack on Titan recently. Very cool show! I haven't watched any anime in years (used to watch loads as a teenager), but now I am bored with standard Western shows so thought I would check out some anime again.
I'm reminded how awesome Japanese sounds, especially when they are shouting some epic lines.
The only thing is how the hell do those wire things work? 
Once they got embedded in something hard enough to bear their weight, they wouldn't be able to pull them out. And they would get slammed into the ground/buildings by momentum (like the first time Eren tries to cut that Colossal Titan and it disappears, he shoots into the big wall and in reality he would swing down into it and be killed, but it just cuts ahead and he is safely against the wall).
I'm overlooking these quibbles though due to it not being real and looking freaking cool as they fly around!
