The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

The second season is just as good :)

And the third is pretty good as well:)

If you haven't seen it before you're lucky, as IIRC there was about a 4 year gap between S2 and S3.

Backed :)

edit: well that's well and truly met its target ...

Aye, I saw that news a few minutes ago..
I think that did it even faster than the BGC one did!

And they're going to do a Riding Bean kickstarter as well now (I'm guessing that having done BGC they've got the backend kinks sorted, and probably a list of titles they want to do).

I can see myself backing Riding Bean as well as Otoko No Video when they put the RB one live.

My Nadia blu-ray set shipped earlier today, so hopefully I'll be watching some of that this week (assuming I have time).

Also, I saw this on the Guardian site and it made me go "aww, cute and awesome bird"

I hope so, although I'm what my brother calls a Hobby idiot.
I upgraded to the pack with the model...I like models, even if I've got far more waiting to be painted than painted (I've got several AMG resin busts/figures sat on the shelf untouched, several of the Range Murata things, and that's before I start on non anime models).

Bacano is fun if a little confusing if you're not paying attention in the first few episodes, I'm waiting for the new blu-ray set before watching it again.

I watched Karin the other day which whilst not the worst anime I've seen, is certainly not one I'm going to watch again, so I'm currently watching Infinite Stratos which is fun. Next up is the new Elfien Lied blu-ray set as I haven't seen that in an age and I don't think I ever saw the OVA.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but Forbiddenplanet are doing a pre-order offer for the claymore manga set for £90 (well £91 inc postage), which I'm tempted by as I liked the anime and that seems to be a good price for a 27 volume set.

Got recommended Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou and it's not one to watch with people that's for sure

Is it any good I've seen it mentioned a few times.
At the moment anything funny would be a bonus :) (I'm currently watching and greatly enjoying the second Space Dandy set).

It's definitely worth a watch :)
I think I watched it in the space of about 3 nights which for me (over the last year or so) is very fast.

Animeigo have just announced their next Kickstarter projects.

Riding Bean (:D) by end of the year.
AD Police early next year.

Hope I have the money for the higher tier for Riding Bean.

Argh

and double Argh

So that's two more kickstarters I'll probably have to get :p

Hopefully if Riding Bean goes well we may see a Gunsmith Cats one as well (I can but hope).

On a completely different note I received shipping confirmation for the third Madoka movie earlier, I thought it had been put back as the first two have been delayed.

Cheers pecnarf, as I've already got the first season and Fumoffu on BD I may just look at TSR on BD from Anime Limited in that case.

Just finished FMA:Brotherhood. Awesome series, really well written with a lot of cool characters. Trying to find something else to watch now.

Only thing which bugged me was the brothers' voices never broke as they got older, so they were teenagers with little kid (well woman IRL) voices. Especially Alphonse :D

If you've not seen it, try Black Lagoon :) (it's one of the limited number of series I have on both BD and DVD).

I could also recommend something like Full Metal Panic quite easily as a fun action/comedy.

Yeah Really wanted another series:(

Aye, I really want to watch it again myself at some point, and would love to see more A__a

I started watching the Madoka movie last night which I was enjoying but only got about 20 minutes in before having to head to bed.

Definitely Stein;Gate, awesome series.

Gurren is good as well, but it's beaten by the gate (now I really want to rewatch it, but no time when I can watch even new stuff!)

The Cowboy Bebop DVD collection is only £8 on Zavvi at the moment, which is a great price for a classic series.
I'm hoping the BD set will get a similar price...(I can but hope).

Aye, I think it was about the halfway mark it stepped up.

Also whilst I'm here, Zavvi have some more nice anime deals including things like Durrrarra Blu for £20, Rahzephon (DVD) £12, Bebop Blu-ray £18

My Anime list for the last year is quite small as I've not been buying a great deal of discs (too little space, too much space taken up with discs).

At a rough glance from oldest to newest it's
Dusk maiden of Amnesia
EF collection (memories and melodies)
Wings of Honemaese (sp?) collectors edition
Nadia Secret of Blue Water, blu-ray set
The Tale of Princess Kagura
Space Dandy Set 2
Elfen Lied, collectors BD set (the steelbook)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie:3 BD
Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movies: 1 & 2 BD
Sankya undying love (sp?)
Baccano! LE BD set

I think this year is the least number of Anime discs I've bought in 12 years, partly because I haven't had time to watch much anime, partly because I've been running low on space, and partly because I've not seen a massive amount that has got me excited this year that is new.

I have somehow ended up buying a couple of big manga sets and related books though.
