The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I ended up ordering Violet Evergarden from ATA's offer.

I'm desperately trying to catch up on my anime at the moment, as I've still got a few bits left over from last December, Utena, Rayearth, Cop craft, Newgame and a bunch of other ones from this year.

Still waiting for Overlord series 4. Nothing else has piqued my interest this year.

A new season is just kicking off now, I've not had the time to go through the shows but seems like there's a good selection of stuff and people seem to be hyped about a bunch of them, might be worth seeing if anything takes your fancy ... but yeah more Overlord or Log Horizon would be grand.

Not seen any log horizon, but am on overlord near the end of season 2 and think it's great so far!

Just watched Burn the Witch ... it's done as 3 20min episodes (while saying it's a movie) ... it's from the guy that made Bleach ... was pretty good, but honestly felt more like someone setting up a world pretty quickly ... seems odd for it to now end, not have a full show starting off.

I will give it a look then, didnt know it was from Bleach guy

Like I said very weird to have it crammed into 3 episodes as a movie rather than a show running a full season ... I'd kinda hope that some time later (prob needs more manga first) there'd be a full show set in that world, but let me know what you think of it.

Anyone check out Jujutsu Kaisen yet?

I watched the first episode, not seen the second yet ... I like it so far, the MC doesn't seem to annoying ... but it seems there's a really high number of shows to check out this season so I've got quite a backlog atm before I sort through them and see which ones to ditch and which to watch.

Not yet, I recently finished Overlord which was good fun need season 4!

Attack on Titan season 3 finished which is not bad timing as Season 4 starts soon for that.

Watching Monogatari, NGE, Bofuri, Rent-a-Girlfriend.

Planning to watch Re:Zero soon.

Re:Zero is fantastic if you've not seen it before.

It took a little while for me to warm to the protagonist as I thought he came across as a bit whiny at first, but I ended up finding him quite likable and given all he has to go through I don't really blame him for being on a downer at times.

Re:Zero doesn't make me feel quite as emotionally tired as the Shield Hero one, but yeah both MCs get a bit of slack.

Big fan of Shield Hero actually, although I think it's easier to sympathise with the lead in some respects.

The problems he faces are a bit more in your face and relatable I think.

I find both shows kinda unrelenting, you just want stuff to go alright for a bit to give yourself a breather, but the shield one just really drained me ... I think when it was out last time I had to watch something super easy going afterwards to recover, might have been that kaguya-sama one, hard to remember as it was a year ago I think.

Those sorts of shows can be a bit draining.

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest is one I'd recommend if you enjoyed RE:Zero and Shield Hero, the protag' is betrayed and put into an awful situation after being taken to another world.
