The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Holy crap, got nord vpn working on my Amazon fire stick and putting it to Japan I’m getting a ton of new shows, including weekly new releases of current stuff like spy family, only snag is not all of them have English subtitles but my dress up darling does, spy family does jujutsu Kaisen does.

Still planning to check out some more of this seasons shows, but this one has impressed me so far:

Loving all of the references it has. 3 episodes in so far, it's in Netflix jail though.

No recent buys for me, I'm on the lookout for releases I want but not had any lately.

started watching berserk again, that is some twisted shenanigans :)

1997 ver I hope? The anime must adapt a very tiny portion of the (unfinished) manga series.

I heard that there was some possibility that the manga would continue with new artists after the author died, I'd love to read the series but it would suck to read it and not be able to ever finish it, which has put me off wanting to start it.

Watched the original Macross - Super space fortress. "Do you remember" movie. Seen it before dubbed but never in original language for the first time and it was brilliant, particularly for its time.

I could be doing with some new(to me) Anime to watch. I have watched a large amount of the mainstream ones such and Demon Slayer, Hellsing, Berzerk, Devilman, Elfen Lied, Gantz, Highschool of the Dead, Highschool DxD etc etc.. Dont mind fantasy, scifi, horror but not not really comedy or slice of life fan. I dont mind fan service either, the more the better.. :D

Recommendations would be appreciated :)

I'm happy to help but it's a lot easier if you have a reasonable list of stuff you've seen in something like MAL (https://myanimelist.net/).

That has a feature where I can compare my watched list to yours, so I can see easily what shows you haven't seen. It's a bit of effort to spin it up but I do use mine to keep track of shows I finish off etc.

If you can't be bothered, I get it, just makes it harder to rec stuff.

You'd probably like:

Prison School
Kill La Kill
Madoka Magica
Parasyte
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Fate/Zero

Codes Geass and Hunter X Hunter 2011

Thank me later

Bit of a continuation of my previous post, this season has been a little bit of a slower burn into because some of the shows have spread out start dates.

Similar to my previous post, stuff I'm watching/thoughts so far:

Watching:

Overlord S4 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/48895/Overlord_IV
Call of the Night - https://myanimelist.net/anime/50346/Yofukashi_no_Uta
Uncle from another World - https://myanimelist.net/anime/49220/Isekai_Ojisan
Shadows House S2 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/49782/Shadows_House_2nd_Season
Parallel World Pharmacy - https://myanimelist.net/anime/49438/Isekai_Yakkyoku
Engage Kiss - https://myanimelist.net/anime/51417/Engage_Kiss
Lycoris Recoil - https://myanimelist.net/anime/50709/Lycoris_Recoil
Aoashi - https://myanimelist.net/anime/49052/Ao_Ashi

I'm liking all of these for various reasons, Overlord is kicking up pace nicely. Call of the Night has gotten more interesting with the last couple of episodes, Uncle from Another World is still probably my season fav but it's on a week break thanks to Covid outbreak at the studio.

Shadows House is a good sequel to Season 1, which I found surprisingly charming. Parallel World Pharmacy is a fun take on an isekai, it's fairly chill. Engage Kiss and Lycoris are anime originals from A1 and both are nicely animated, with some deeper story beneath that seems worth discovering.

Aoashi has surprised me, I'm enjoying it a lot even though I'm not really into football, the journey has been a lot of fun and the character drama off-pitch is good. Also Hana possibly best girl.

Not Started:

Is it wrong to pick up girls in a Dungeon S4 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/47164...gatteiru_Darou_ka_IV__Shin_Shou_-_Meikyuu-hen
Made in Abyss S2 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/41084/Made_in_Abyss__Retsujitsu_no_Ougonkyou
Summertime Render - https://myanimelist.net/anime/47194/Summertime_Render

For these 3 shows I'll probably wait until nearer the end of the season. Summertime Render still looks like it will be really good but I don't want to add another weekly show at the moment.

Dropped:

Devil is a Part Timer S2 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/48413/Hataraku_Maou-sama
Rental Girlfriend S2 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/42963/Kanojo_Okarishimasu_2nd_Season
Classroom of the Elite S2 - https://myanimelist.net/anime/51096/Youkoso_Jitsuryoku_Shijou_Shugi_no_Kyoushitsu_e_TV_2nd_Season

Devil is a Part Timer was really disappointing compared to Season 1, the animation quality was pretty shoddy.

Rental Girlfriend had an interesting premise, Season 1 was fairly enjoyable, but I can tell the MC is going to remain an insufferable moron and character growth seems non-existent.

Classroom of the Elite has really suffered from poor adaptation quality. It could be good, if it had budget/effort/time put into it. Apparently the LN's are good, I may dig them up and read them instead.
