The Apple HE store - Full prices and details in here. *prices correct as of 15/06/10*

got my MBP today, saved a total of £352 off list (inc care pack), bargain. Just popped into the store with my wife and her nus card and job done.

Saved £352 :o.

I'm looking at getting one January possibly for use at university along side my rendering/gaming pc at home.

Does the HE discount equate to much on the MBP or MBA?

It's 15% off most things, plus £65 iTunes voucher, plus Apple Care for £49.

You actually get the most important part of Apple care free by buying a Mac on HE discount. The three years extended warranty, all you get for the extra £49 is two extra years of Telephone service.

"Every new Mac purchased from the Apple Store for Higher Education comes with complimentary telephone technical support for one year from your Mac purchase date and three years of repair coverage."

I dislike Apple, but if someone wants to purchase something through me to save some cash, I've got no objections. :)

For those in need of prices:

Those prices are still stupidly high. 1,784 AFTER discount for a 2.2ghz quad, 4gb ram and 750gb hard drive? You could get the same for £500 odd from dell, if not less.

Crazy.

The only dell laptops that use the same CPU as that Macbook Pro are the Alienware ones. None of the XPS ones do, and there you have the result ^. Everyone knows Macs are more expensive, but they're not that much more expensive as you're saying.

£500 you say?
