Are people going for the silver aluminum watch? I honestly can't decide on the colour, I quite like the Silver but my phone is Space Grey, not sure if they should match!

That really depends on your personal tastes and circumstances. I think the stainless steel model looks significantly better than the aluminium model. I'd rather buy a SS model and upgrade less frequently.

what, thats insane. unlike phones sport/smart watches evolve substantially ever year.

I know that if I scratched the aluminium case it would bug me a lot, at least with the normal SS you should be able to polish it/buff out small scratches, it also looks a lot nicer.

I'm also of the camp that I'd rather upgrade less frequently but have the SS over the regular watch.

Apart from colour and strap and the metal, is the glass differ between the aluminium and SS model?

And on the check out menu, it says add Apple Care and Nike + for £59. What is this Nike+ ?

Is that the software demoed on the keynote but you can get it in the normal watch without that horrible colour scheme?

I don't own a watch, but have been waiting to see what Apple had to offer with the second version of the Apple Watch - I am a little surprised they haven't been able to cram more features in this one, but GPS is a nice addition. I'm possibly looking at getting a 38mm Aluminium - Not sure I can justify spending that much more for Stainless Steel, and the Aluminium looks great.

Yes my SS Sapphire has seen its fair share of knocks, and its still perfect. The sport has what is known as an ion glass. Call it whatever you want, its not sapphire.. That being said, it does feel substantially lighter, than the SS/Sapphire. So its not all bad.

My guess is the series 3 will be sleeker slimmer build, so no one is going to want the series 1 or 2, when the 3 shows its face (pardon the pun) sometime next yr !

Dunno about the UK but in the US for a 42mm sport its $399. For a 42mm SS/Sapphire its $599. So an extra $200.

I reckon i maybe able to get $250 for my SS/Sapphire series 1, if I'm lucky.... very lucky :( See how things pan out. No-one seems to be putting bids on for whats out there. Maybe they'll decide later that the sapphire series one is worth more to them than a sport series 2 ? Who knows... Depreciation seems really high for an apple product.

Will stick with my SS black series 1 I think, the re-sell on it is pants! Though I do need a new sport band :P (Oh how we try to justify these things to ourselves :D)

Waterproof is nice as I may need to clean it less often that way! GPS I always take my phone with me on a run anyway to stream playlists or radio. Definitely nice to have for runners though.

I bought the cheapest S1 as I wasn't sure I would use/like a Smart Watch. It went back for a repair this last week (as it developed a black spot on the screen..) and I have really missed it. I have been slumming it with my Omega instead :p . Thankfully my S1 should be back today.

Having decided I really like the concept and get loads of use out of it I will be upgrading in both senses to a S2 but in Stainless steel with matching band. I will probably wait until I go the US at Easter next year though.
