The Apprentice Series 7

Started watching tonights episode but I dont think this series is up to scratch.

Theyre all so gormless, theres no stuarts this time, these people I wouldnt trust with tea making duties. I think thats the "career" alan sugar has lined up for these feckless dweebs.

Interesting - he fired the guy last week as he didn't show himself, and kept Leon on as he was a business owner. He's done exactly the opposite this week...

Jim's the stand out candidate for me atm. Seems to be going from strength to strength. Although it isn't hard to stand out against that lot.

The only mildly amusing thing on this week’s episode was the visit to the Top Hat Cleaners. Hopefully it will improve next week.

Usually when they seem to-good-to-be-true, something will show up during the interviews to cut them down.

I hope not. I think he's clearly the best candidate, but he can't maintain this performance over the next 13 weeks surely.

I can't believe some of them shops wouldn't even give them a few pounds off.

The price of a top hat is madness!!

Why should someone at the top of their game give discount? The quality of the work is reputably worth the money. It wasn't like they were buying a large order; trying to get discount was really naive, and trying to get £5 or 1pence was futile.

I did laugh at how dumbstruck they were at the prices of tophats in some of the most reputable sellers in London; with smartphones there is almost no excuse to not be able to find numerous sellers within a certain area and have an understanding of price.

Also what was the chinese (?) girl doing begging for a penny off? What was the point? Such a daft cow.

Quote of the show for me was from the scruffy tramp millionaire himself:

Less of the chitchat - I know you're from Belgium and that's where the waffles come from...

"Hi, I'm representing a rival hotel. Please can I have a list of all your contacts and trade suppliers?"

That was also a major facepalm - yet nobody questioned her even doing it as she spoke with confidence.

I don't envy the contestants - trying to manage a team where everyone thinks they're the best and always right is bound to cause problems.

Jim is by far the most normal person there - and being a likeable character is proving very successful too! On this topic - I imagine the black lady and the 'charming ladies man Vincent'() will be out soon :p
