The Apprentice Series 7

Can somebody explain how The Apprentice works please?
Obviously it is all pre-recorded but over how long?
Do they have a couple of days, fire somebody then start the next task the following day?
Is there a real winner right now but we're waiting for the episodes to catch up?
How do they keep the losers quiet?

Think it's filmed over about 4-5 months in the early Spring.

I think it's one task a week.

Yes.

Think they sign NDAs.

1) over 3-4 months
2) they make out it's 1 task a week for 15 weeks but it's filmed almost back to back in much less time (8 weeks IIRC)
3) no, the final 2 usually both work for sugar for 6 months until the final episode airs, by which time the real winner is announced following the final task, which usually happens the week before the final show goes out to keep it hush hush.
4) NDA

All on Wikipedia.

The boardroom is just a studio, and that assistant that answers the phone is an actress :/

yeah it's filmed back to back day after the next day. i've worked with the girl who does the make up for the boardroom scenes (who is also Margaret's god daughter) and she mentioned they film it over october time, though this was a couple years back now. iirc there was Halloween decoration up when they filmed one of the recent episodes.

the whole program is full of bs, though i do enjoy seeing the ideas from the show. you only have to see how rather then asking nick and karen to read out the numbers in 2 weeks ago episode sugar instead read them himself for the first time and announced the totals (one with none the other with loads) he obviously knew the scores but it makes better tv.

the reason you can't bet on who will win is because the final 2 are already decided before episode one goes out, so anyone who knows the people on the show can easily bet on the 2 finalists.

My friend is a camerman on the show, he told me they film it about a year and a half ahead before we see it on television.

I have to this episode was awesome! Melody got slated, you could see her struggling to keep her composure after getting blasted as soon as you've been fired had begun!

Tom just killed the ending, poor girl was almost in tears. Even though she's annoying, she's very fine.

Its not a year and a half ahead, not this season anyway.
the house they are staying in is Katherine Jenkins' iirc and it was filmed earlier this year.

Anyway, Melody deserved to go, her smugness still wasnt wiped off though. On 'you're fired' she still had that smug look!

Yup, I don't think she learnt anything other than how to cover up those exploited insecurities.

This one was recorded ages ago IIRC.
It had to be delayed due to Sugar's involvement with the Labour government.

Cannot believe they failed to understand the basic idea of this task. That for me is a basic lack of business understanding.

He couldn't have been any clearer saying come back with assets and they will be totalled up.

Tom is clearly the one to win. I can't believe people are sympathising with Susan?!?! She fell to sleep in the last task, and generally comes out with some really dippy things... not exactly shared MD-level material really.

She's mentally about 8 years old as well - infuriatingly childish. And her voice is really high and annoying. And she dresses badly. And she probably doesn't even brush her teeth in the morning. Yeah. Really.

Although true you can bet. Loads of bookies are taking bets on this series but this only started last series.
