The Apprentice Series 7

Melody is a fair bit fitter than her, and Liz Locke from last year was probably the apex of Apprentice totty. Helen, I just don't see it, when her hair is up, she looks ancient, and when down it sit horribly flat on her head. Maybe I'm still too young and picky :p

Melody is tasty if you are looking for that kind of woman.. Does that make sense? yes! she is ..

Glad she went tho... she was a total muppet on that task.. or edited to look like one.

This year im really noticing the editing... Its almost like the cassette boy VS video that was knockign around a year or 2 ago.... its terribly disjointed in parts of that last episode.

This one was recorded ages ago IIRC.
It had to be delayed due to Sugar's involvement with the Labour government.

that was last season wasnt it? was delayed due to the election run up etc. It's been some time since the election though :p

I think Helen is great. Not a patch on Liz, but when you was her with the blonde hair... and she has a great rack.

Melody is absolutely stunning in every way! Love watching her rant, made her even hotter.

Such wifey material!

Wifey material!

I don't think I could last 10 minutes listening to her ****e on nevermind spend the rest of my days with her.

An absolute melter.

Perfect wife material if you want someone dumb who'll make you look far more intelligent by comparison I guess.

Do you honestly believe she is "dumb"?

Someone who has received as many accolades and prizes as she has cannot possibly be "dumb".

For the above reason, I would argue that is not "dumb".

I'd have loved her to get to the interviews to get her very obviously bull**** awards shot down.

Yes I do. She attempts to speak in jargon but half the time messes up the syntax and uses non-sequiturs.

Her chat about the Dalai Lama and Al Gore is also absolutely **** and she would have been torn apart in the boardroom. I guarantee her 'been tutored by' junk is in reality 'attended a lecture by.' I could quite easily massage all my achievements and end up sounding pretty comparable to her, but that's not how I roll - and it disgusts me that she does.

I totally agree. It seems pretty obvious to me that she's trying to sound impressive and backs it up with aggression/over-confidence which, according to her You're Fired appearance, is actually her at her weakest!

All the candidates in all 7 series have been extremely guilty of talking themselves up, the producers probably persuade them to do this for the camera but I think Melody's taken it the furthest. If she really had been taught by Al and the Dalai Lama then what is she doing on the Apprentice? As for the Al Gore bit I bet she's just watched An Inconvenient Truth and claimed that he gave her a private lecture or something. :p

Anyone who goes to this level of sprouting rubbish is, I think, a very unsuitable Apprentice for Lord Alan, because sooner or later some client of the partnership would find her out and either exploit her lack of proper knowledge or grass her up to Lord Sugar.

Couldn't agree more :) And by 'shown up in the boardroom' I meant to say in the interview episode - she would have been torn apart.

Of course. :) Stuart Baggs got utterly shredded during the interviews and if Melody had made it to the interview stages her treatment at the hands of Sugar's advisors would have made what happened to Baggs look like a playground fight between some nursery kids. :D

Well, depending on how snobish you wish to be - she studied law (positive), but ~only~ went to Oxford Brookes (negative). As it stands, they have BBB entry requirements, when the best law courses require AAA (would be that at any red brick/Russell Group uni).

Specifically regarding her awards/work... she couldn't explain what her company does, so it's obviously something lame... whilst her ~worked under Al Gore~ was,

"Official Presenter for Al Gore
The Climate Project
Nonprofit; Nonprofit Organization Management industry
2007 – Present (4 years)"

"Completed a 2-day training with Nobel Peace Prize Winner Al Gore at Cambridge, and have adapted the materials to be suitable for young people, making it also interactive with unique InspirEngage material."

So, at the beginning, Al Gore said, "hi guyz, fanx 4 coming 2 dis trainin'", then bailed.

/cynic
:D Melody isn't dumb by any means, she's extremely good at dressing herself up to be something she most likely isn't. She's very capable of twisting and turning the slightest event in her professional life into proof that she's had training from some rather big names in politics and world business.

It's called selling yourself and actually a great skill to have under your belt.

If you sell yourself, you are more likely to do well in interviews and will also be able to convince potential investors and business partners to join your cause. In business, selling (yourself, a product or service) is VERY important. In fact, the quality of yourself/product/service is irrelevant - if you are top salesperson, you will be able to make the sale of even a poor product. Bill Gates' partner was able to "sell" IBM a non-existent operating system...now that is what I call a salesman.

I highly doubt that the producers tell the candidates are told to talk themselves up. They are probably asked to tell us about themselves. The candidates response is to sell themselves, just as you would during a job interview. No big deal...I would do exactly the same.

And lest we forget that The Apprentice process is one, long interview.

Wow. You sound like a great man. Why don't you go on The Apprentice and show us all how it's done?
