The Apprentice - Series 8

the hair and makeup dept have done a job on her

Most of them seem to scrub up well once they've been through the makeup dept! :D

I think this series is getting worse each episode, I found myself just skipping the last 20mins just to see the end and who'd been fired..

I'm absolutely at a loss to understand why, if your name was Richard Martin, you would choose to go by Ricky. I don't get it. As if every single person who meets you isn't thinking "What, like the gay Latin pop star?"

Indeed. I had this conversation with my brother. What could possibly convince him that going by the name Ricky Martin would be in any way, shape or form a good idea. I keep a close eye every time he says his name to see if any of the businessmen/women give a subtle smirk or have to fight off laughter upon hearing his name. I know I would find it hard, maybe I'm just childish :p

The first time I ever heard him proudly say his name, I thought why on Earth would anybody introduce themselves with that name. Perhaps he is too young to know who the celebrity Ricky Martin is. If it were me, I would introduce myself as Ricky or Richard (don't mention the surname).

It's almost as if he is trying to draw attention to his name. But perhaps this is his strategy.

I honestly think that 8 random forum members could come up with something as good if not better than these muppets.

They don't listen to the brief and they produce total drivel.

Ricky martin... seriously... lol

I'm wondering whether it is the editing of the show, which is making them look a little dim?
Yesterday for instance, 1 team PM spent a day tasting wine, for no obvious reason (the guy deals in wines, so there is nothing he would've learnt by spending a day tasting wine, that he didn't know already).

Also, we never see what the brief actually says, ie. it is never read out in detail, so perhaps there are juicy bits of information that would perhaps provide a different slant on how the task is performed.

I've been watching the series but its quite boring. I only really have kept watching it because of Adam. He's a complete numpty but its just hilarious some of the things that come out of his mouth, will probably be the best guest on the Apprentice, You're Fired!

The video for Ricky's team had me cringing...eurgh!

Ok, that last one was another snooze-fest. Boring task, boring contestants and the logic is, "You followed the brief but you were rubbish", and "You didn't follow the brief, but you were less bad, so you win, but just because the others lost".

They need to do something, as the Apprentice is looking quite dead at the moment.

Actually watched this week, and it looks 2010 was the high point of this show, with Stuart Baggs getting slaughtered in the final and Liz Locke's amazing tatas.

Series 4 was my favourite with Michael Sophocles and the kosher chicken incident in Morocco plus Lucinda and her fabulous dress-sense. :D
