The Apprentice - Series 8

lol what the ****?! What an appalling episode, and what an obscene outcome. Really couldn't care who wins this or anything, doubt I'll carry on watching it, I'd rather spend an hour slapping myself in the head with a sea bass!

BBC are really scraping the barrel with this series. I normally watch the You've Been Fired show after it but an hour of watching characterless muppets and recycled drivel is enough for one week. About time the BBC did something to shake it up.

Don't understand how the other team won, surely Lord Sugar should have deducted some costs for the equipment they promised free to this club, putting them in a losing position.

I think he actually did that. When they told him their figure of 12K, I think he said "So really it's £7K" straight after, but everyone was cheering so it was easily missed.

Last night's was really poor. Creating an exercise routine was not an interesting task. The exercise video with Azzha was pretty funny though - it looked like a parody video, lots of closeups on his face and he was doing an imaginary hula hoop twirl with those tiny shorts. :D

The task was rubbish. My wife dislikes The Apprentice at the best of times, but I was downright embarrassed to be watching it last night.

Agree boring rubbish task.

Its only interesting when its about costings, profit margins and the colossal **** ups that are made with those figures.

ITs not Pants man material.... I guess that was last series "making the video" version.

Next weeks looks like it could be better but i agree, i dont really care who wins.... Im strangely attracted to the black haired, not very pretty girl.

I know one of the girls in the '80's troupe' at the beginning as she works at my local gym. She such a lovely person, but i'm going to ribb her about this tonight when i see her :D

Awful again, one thing that really annoys me now is the editing, if one team seems to be doing well they lose and vice versa. Might just give the rest of the series a miss as it seems like a chore to watch now

^ Yeah it's getting very easy to spot which team is going to be the winner now. They need to shake up the editing and not making it so obvious when the make people look stupid when the scene probably showed they would have been right. Charile Brooker made a piece about this

After watching this it's so obvious when they do this that it sticks out like a sore thumb, espically the "Lame Joke Falls Flat" trick that The Apprentice seems to use a heck of a lot.

awful episode to an awful season so far. I wouldnt be surprised if this is the last season (unless Sugar has already made contract arrangements).

I think they should get Richard B in to do the next season, with tasks such as build me a spaceship and who can fly around the world in a hotair balloon the quickest - instant winner :)

Next week's ep looks even worse. Last nights was tedium, couldn't believe 80s cheese won, but thats Apprentice logic, they make out some team will do really badly (which they did) and then they win (for 'entertainment' purposes)

I quite like that idea. The Apprentice has run it's course now and it should be left to fade into the depths of entertainment history. I just watch the You're Fired episodes now tbh.

Alan Sugar has never really grabbed my attention tbh, i never even knew who the guy was until i watched the Apprentice.

Wow that winning video was pretty darn amazing! I couldnt stop laughing out loud it was that painfully bad. if they were to do a proper skit of rambo, like hot shots, that guy could easily have been spoof rambo. Genius.

Also, i didnt agreee with what they put the loss down to at all. They seemed to implicate the video, HOWEVER, it was the product not the video that cost the group.

the biggest chain (who gave the big order) are family orientated, so hwo the hell is 'Dance MMA' going to appeal to them? The teams didnt consider the target market for the gyms they were pitching to, or their values. that was the failure.

the other etams video was awful and the winning bid effectively disregarded the video and went for a young persons thing not really an 80's dance troupe. So it was a pure fluke that they won as tey had an idea that was not suited to the market they pitched at and the video was miscast and mis orientated...

The buyers could easily have dismissed the video and gone with the concept IF they liked the MMA thing so much.

the fact is the leader for the losing team had mma/fighting on his mind and let his emotion run roost, instead of considering the customers...

couldn't believe 80s cheese won

it didn't really win though. OK technically, by numbers it won but they wanted to re-think the concept and use kids and parents, that wasn't what the task was aimed at and the winning team certainly weren't aiming for that market.

it was an awful vid, rubbish concept managed by a bloke who works in the market! his pulling of figures was laughable as was his overlooking the storage.

the other teams was more professional and frankly better than the other teams yet they lost. the most laughable of all though, was how lord sugar then has to rip into them when there's was actually the best of the two.

if lord sugar wants us to start taking this seriously, he needs to start being more relentless and unforgiving. the past ep's of this series, 2 people could've and probably should've gone from both final 3's and in yesterdays ep, he should've said even though the losing team didn't get as many sales, their project was a lot better and better managed and therefore they win as i thought he wasn't looking for ''bloody salesman''? he could've fooled me...

Yeah it is getting a bit silly the way there is a massive twist every episode, you can almost predict now that the team which appeared to do worst will win it with some last minute miracle.

The wrong team lost yesterday and I thought Dwayne was one of the most promising contestants this series, my money is on Paul Scholes' twin now.

I think it's safe to say that Apprentice is being continually dumbed down to appeal to the masses, the first couple of seasons were on another level.
