Well I downloaded it last night on Game Pass but not played it yet.

Sounds like I might as well wait for them to update it before I start playing. :(

Lol @ the gamespot review ( 6/10 ) which says that one of the negatives about the game is that its "Tone is extremely, unnecessarily hostile and dour".

Hostile and dour....

In a Cyberpunk world...

Good grief. Obviously not enough fluffy balloons and rainbows for them in this dystopian future game :)

Just picked this up today as well, knew nothing about it so took a punt on Steam. It's great so far! :D Environmental visuals are impressive - just hope they fix the stutter issue. Going to leave it until a patch emerges.

FPS wise, AMD Radeon Software reporting an average of 95FPS. Graphics on High, with Textures on Ultra. DX12 mode. Ray Tracing enabled for just Shadows. 1440P res. Motion blur off. This is on a 6700XT with a 5800X CPU.

Couple of problems I have had that are worth avoiding - if you clear the first (tutorial area) rather than just following the quest trail - when you later pick up the quest "balls Deep" - there is nothing to kill to complete the quest as the mobs dont respawn.

Also there is a level 2 side quest to meet someone at "the Node" - as its the lowest level quest available i tried to do it - you have to battle through a wave of level 6 mobs (as a level 3) to get to a lift...that doesnt work. Warning - dont then go further on to try to find another way in as you meet a group if level 18's that one shot you - the respawn then drops you at the far end of that level and there is no way back before you get one shot again etc etc etc meaning I lost about 2 hours of play.

Loving this game. It’s not without its flaws, but it’s great fun. A little frustrating when I came across my first robot boss having not picked up or unlocked any decent energy weapons, but once I had that sorted it’s been a blast. One of the few games I’ll no doubt complete. The world is beautiful - I’ve enjoyed it more than cyberpunk so far too.

I can’t seem to find or get into stimtown connected to the gym side quest. Any ideas?

If you can't get into an area, keep playing until the main questline takes you there.

I think that's the only one that has a really low level attached to it, for an area significantly higher.

The casino delivery seems the opposite. Really low mission you couldn't have gotten earlier.

Yes, I think that’s the problem. It’s a level 7 or so quest, yet I’m on about level 17 in the main quest. It’s a confusing system at times. I’ll just be patient I guess.

It didn’t look or sound like he had even played more than about 5 minutes.

Had a blast on this last night and reached level 10. No issues so far (touch wood). Can't fault it; great visuals, gameplay and music.

I am probably halfway through the game at this point. Based on expectations set by ACG I did expect something better if I am being honest. Good game and I am having fun, but not a day one purchase for me. Probably something I would have just waited and got for a fiver at some point.

Love the art style and graphics, gameplay is decent. But the story plain sucks. That said, great job by a 12 man dev team. So far 7 out of 10 from me.

A sequel with better story, more work on narrative and a better rpg system would be awesome.

Definitely, for a game studios first title its a belter, hopefully the recognition and proceeds from this will allow them to kick on and develop something even better next time round.

I’m pretty happy with my current build, whilst I’ve struggled with some bosses the last one went down in seconds.

I love the two robot augments, especially the assault robot, they are great distractions. The turret is a great tactical item too. I’ve also got two health modules now that basically turn you into a tank.

Pretty much my feeling.
