**The ASrock 939dual-SATA2 (ULi M1695) thread**

OK Guys, finally got my self one of these boards. Rather than trundle through 65 pages of posts can anyone give me a quickly lowdown on how to set these up best, bios? other setttings? quirks/problems etc.

There is also another problem in that I now cant go above 280mhz htt on the 133 divider @ 2-3-2-5, with the beta2 I was able to get to 285 stable, even 290 would boot. Now 285 doesnt even post.
a lot of people are reporting this yet i can do 300+ on the 133 devider with no problems

Reet...

I took all my stuff around to my mates place and tested it on his system..
My CPU is fine and so is the memory..

Therefore I think my board is goosed... :(

Oh well.. I'll just have to buy an Xpert board :)

i know that the 133 divider is a 2/3 ratio and the 166 seems to be a 5/6 ratio.
is the 150 a 3/4 ratio?

also how would i go about setting this divider? if it really is a 3/4 divider then it will offer me better ram speed since my ram is so far tested up to 228mhz at 3-3-3-10 to be fully stable.

I think you can only set it to 150 divider from an app called A64 Tweaker.

But Ive heard mixed results with it, some dont advise it as its buggy for them.

once into windows i change to the 150 devider and have done for a month or 2 now with no issues

clean install of XP

Download and install the latest ALI all in one drivers

Windows updates

GPU drivers

after installing the ALI drivers reboot and check that the AGP drivers are in there properly, you can find them in system devices, near the bottom if i remember

on a side note, is anyone playing with these beta 7 bios's, they sound pretty stable and some people are getting good results. holding off myself as im not that great at overclocking and my 146 opty happily runs at 2.75gig on standard vaults. dont know wether its worth the hassle trying to push towards 3gig. especally with the bios reset pins being where they are :(

thanks for that, bit of a bummer tho as I have just recently re-installed xp and made a nice image with acronis.

Bugger. The place I ordered it from (which I believe all of you can easily guess at) has now told me that they couldn't pick it for my order because it is being discontinued :(

Edit: argh, went ahead and paid the extra £8 from a different supplier with NEXT DAY delivery (because I'm growing impatient and frustrated, lol) as I definitely do still want to use my Radeon 9700Pro.

I was in the same boat mate, had done a nice clean install a week before the upgrade.

did try a repair install and allthough it did work, it was kind of flakey. the odd bit of corruption here and there. the clean install ran much better.
