The ASRock thread [support/feedback/etc]

Would it be fair to say even if warranty is 2 years bios updates will come for zen+ and so on for the life of the socket/ chipset?

Thinking about getting a higher end board then I normally would if AMD release multiple revisions on AM4.

Haha. I wouldn't worry too much about 2 year warranty. My friend has been running an ASRock AMD motherboard for 14 years everyday! I overhauled the system last year.

BIOS updates don't correlate to warranty periods - there's always new versions coming as long as there are bugs to fix, whatever the board. I would definitely not worry about BIOS support.

OK thanks for letting me know, only ever run one Cpu in a board but could be looking at running one for 3/4 years then upgrading Cpu only.

Liking the look of the asrock tachi board looks good value. Can't wait to see some reviews!

@AsrockMB i have seen a rumor that the UK / EU pricing for the Asrock AM4 boards is currently just a place holder, do you know if this is true? if it is, is the Taichi going to be lower in price or higher? Above you state that the X370 boards will move to a much higher price point than previous boards, worried that suddenly the X370 Taichi and co will go up in price, when a lot of people already feel AM4 boards especially the X370 ones are overpriced given the SOC nature of the Zen chip.

Nice, couple of questions

Other vendors seem to have better DDR4 Support even reaching upto 3600mhz i believe? Does Asrock plan on being able to offer upto or over 3000mhz Ram support? your official site just shows 2666mhz

Why so much red on motherboards? i personally hate red as a colour, would much prefer blue or white LED's as seen on Taichi :) Please ask your guys to make Blue motherboards and RGB in place so users can customise to their needs if possible!

Are there more X370 motherboards expected? and more B350 motherboards? If so when are we likely to hear about them?
Just got a test report on some DDR3-3200 kits that work just fine on the Taichi and the Professional Gaming, and 2933MHz kits for the remaining boards - I believe AMD restricts this information pre-launch, official support is for 2667MHz.

Is the professional gaming (the one with 5GB lan) the same mosfets and caps as the taichi? Out of the taichi and professional, which would be the best overclocking motherboard? Also, as posted above, will DDR4 speeds over 3000 be supported please?
Same caps and MOSFETs, yes.

The higher pricepoint is compared to 990FX boards, as the entire platform moves to a more premium point in the market thanks to the CPUs and chipset pricing.

Exactly what happens to the pricing will become clear by launch, we have no info on it at this point. Good thing it's very soon though, we're curious too on the marketing side.

Very Happy owner of a X99 Extreme 4, Asrock are my goto motherboard vendor now when im building a system, i did my hardest to screw it up with a bios update when i purchased the board and happy to say i failed, even after the bios came back black the system rebooted back up the following boot :P

I'm after the professional gaming fatality, it's pre-order at 4 uk web sites, do you know when uk stock will arrive and a rough idea of quantity?
Also, how busy are asrock technicians working on improved bios's?

@AsrockMB Any idea on ocuk taichi stock? Still waiting on mine.
hi do u have an eta for X370 Taichi AMD X370 on uk shelves?
As above, but the Gaming K4, first venture over to Asrock since Socket A iirc.

There should be a bunch of X370 boards coming in later this week, we're told.

this will be my first asrock board the taichi ..coming over from yrs with asus .. hope it was the right choice .. :)

Me too, ~20 years of ASUS boards, the AsRock Taichi seems like much better bang for buck this time round with 12+4 VRMs, onboard wifi, 2 extra SATA and 1 more M.2 slot over the ASUS boards. Plus a "Zen" CPU / "Tai Chi" mobo seems fitting for my "Yin/Yang" black and white PC build :)

I am testing the X370 Taichi right now. Will post back some results hopefully later this week..so far seems a solid board.

I look forward to the test results.

I have had a z77 oc formula and z170 oc formula and the z97 extreme 4. I really like the asrock ocf boards, so I am hoping that you are working on an oc formula for x370 as this would be my board of choice.
