For a new mobo, is 0801 the best then?

i found 0008 to be good but tbh i keep reverting back to 0603 which is what the board came with.

Do I use a PCI-E cable for 970 graphics card? Also do I fill the 8 pin slot or both the 8 pin and 6 pin?

Yeah both connectors, if only one is plugged in, you'll hear a high pitch whine, this lets you know you haven't connected everything

If you have problems with Asus sound cards then yes otherwise go with 0706.

Wow... scariest install ever. I had triangles on my CPU and Mobo... but clamping down with the two levers is cringeworthy. CPU and mobo fine. Booted first time

**** sake :/ just took my board out ready to send off as it's sold, removed the CPU to see a bent pin, have told the buyer about it and have bent the pin back, it should be ok now? I never once had an error when using the board either.

If you've pinged the pin back into place and it's no worse for wear it should be fine.

It was fine when I had my CPU installed, never had errors, I'll have to knock the price down, reckon Asus would replace the board?

Not if the bent pins visible. If the boards working fine it's not worth the hassle, leave as is.

Hi guys.

My sound card below should fully work in the PCIE_X1_1 slot on the ASUS Rampage V Extreme shouldn`t it? or am I best putting the sound card in one of the other PCIE slots?

If you mean the PCIE_X4_1 then yes, that's where mine is. (The black slot)

No, I mean the smallest PCIE slot on the board that is a grey color.
