What about a factory reset on the panel??
How do i do this? There's an 'all reset' option at the bottom of the menu, tried that but that just resets image to default.
Just checking to see if this is normal...
I can see the pixels a lot more on this monitor for some reason, I've never used a 1440p monitor before though so I do not know if this is normal.
I can not make out the black line effect as much on my 1080p monitors despite them having a higher pixel width, when I run this monitor in 3d I notice nearly all the pixels from my chair.
This is the profile picture from windows 8, at 1440p. Taken by my phone.
Should it look like that?
The monitor displays the pixels just switching on the no signal sign.
When I move in games I see black lines more in white lights.
@ PCM2/Baddass!!
You guys who have a colorymeter, what brightness settings do you prefer in a pitch black room when gaming ?
I know it's a personal thing, but would be nice to hear your input on it and even you other guys without a colorymeter, please chime in to
Btw, really are enjoying this monitor, best thing I have ever given my Pc and myself, it's out of this world good

Changed the cable, all worksI know that feeling. Worth a punt though, at least it would give you something else to isolate.
Have you tried a different dp cable too?
This might sound ridiculuous, but have you tried unplugging the cable from the GPU port and plugging it back in? Oh and actually unplug the other displays, don't just turn them off.
If you've reinstalled the GPU driver it should have reset such things anyway. Seems like there could be a G-SYNC board failure if you can't even enable G-SYNC or see it listed in NCP (or can you?)
Looking on my 1440p 27" crossover i cannot really see the pixels (tried doing the same thing as you and even point blank i can just about make out the pixel element iteslf, maybe 1/3 as bad as what your image looks like), what is odd there is there is lots of black lines (vertical and horizontal) between the actual pixel elements? Native res? I guess TN and IPS panels have a different pixel structure? Anyone else think these are blocky compared to a IPS? Subjective without actually sitting in front of the monitor I guess.
Changed the cable, all works
See, the cable would have been the last thing i tried.
Not ridiculous, it's either the changing of the cable or reconnecting the display that worked
Thanks for your help everyone Got ULMB working now and happy
Gsync wasn't actually available to view on the NCP, it has literally disappeared. Changing the cable as soon as it connected it recoginised Gsync and loaded up NCP where it was there.
To be honest I never game in a pitch black room. I always have bias/mood lighting on at the very least. If I do game in a dark room I would be happy with around 120 cd/m2 (which the TFT Central settings aim for) but if it's the evening I also like to drop the colour temperature (or use F.lux).
Me neiter, I mosly have a little lamp on thats pretty much to the side/behind me but sometimes I cut it of and just have it pitch black in the night
I agree that using around 18-20 that was around 120cd/m2 as stated in the TFT Centrals review seems the best but sometimes I use the Warm picture mode as User Mode can seems to overly bright when in a dark room, I mean the colours seems to much what should I say, gamma/strong!
Eeh, what you mean F.lux ?
Maybe a nooby question but I dont get it
And to you other guys, thanks a lot for your input, really appreciated and nice to hear what you all like
F.lux is a program which adjusts the colour temperature to make it appear warmer (less blue), which is important in the evening for relaxing viewing. It makes GPU-based adjustments and I don't use it if the monitor has a hardware based 'Low Blue Light' or similar setting.
