The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

I can't wait to see if the monitor will allow a single 780 to run games at max settings at 2K, also isn't G-snyc supposed to run best at between 40-60 Frames?

It has a single output as multiple use a multiplier and adds input lag totally defeating one of the aims of this monitors.

Look at the OC'd Korean jobs, they only have 1 output.

Ahh I asked because a 770 is a rehashed 680 so 99.99% pointless in upgrading so would a 670 to 680/770 be IMO.

I had/have a 680 4GB but many games are struggle for 1440p, so got a 780Ti and I bet some are still a struggle like Crysis 3.

Will OcUK be stocking this monitor, i was looking for a decent Monitor to go with my new build this will be the perfect edition!

Also i hope two 780's in SLI will give me a acceptable FPS...?

Well yes they are the most powerful GPU available and you have 2 of them for 1 screen so yes obviously that will give you acceptable fps.

I'll be buying one to compare it to my IPS 120hz display. I'm curious if the reason why they didn't use an IPS panel is purely because of the slow response rate, or because its just cheaper to manufacture... I'm interested.

Plus because of G-sync, I wanna see if its up to all this hype. :D

Will it work on my 5870? Just wondering as I need a new Monitor and can't afford this monitor and a new GPU at the same time.
