The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

I wasn't 100% sure how the scaler worked with non nvidia cards, so at least amd users can also get some 1440 120hz goodness without gambling on Korean tat :)

Yeah I wasn't sure at first. But ASUS confirmed for me that AMD users would be able to use the monitor without the G-SYNC features. They also mentioned 144Hz rather than just 120Hz but couldn't confirm that G-SYNC would work past 120Hz.

Everyone moaned about pseudo HZ on the early 120HZ monitors and all TV's so what's so good about the Eizo if its real 120HZ or artificial added frames to get 240HZ which make motion horrid looking and usually reviews advise you to turn it off on TV's and I agree.

Whats so good are the black levels, the picture is the most impresive i have yet seen, granted the motion isn't as good as the benq xl2420t i had, but its more than acceptable.
Very interested in seeing how the swift pans out, if it were to have a good VA panel with the rest of the specs the same i'd be breaking gibbo 's door down and throwing my cash at him as that would be the perfect monitor and i'd happily pay £800+ for it.
