The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

this monitor needs to hurry up, I am seriously considering bailing on 120hz and 3D (which I haven't used in months) and getting an Asus PB278Q from ocuk

My previous monitor failed after 4 years of use last week and I was "forced" to buy the PB278Q. So damn nice playing Crisis 3 at nearly maxed out details.

The new driver have added G-Sync so.....

And for me I doubt 1x780Ti would get good FPS in Crysis 3 going by benches but Chaapa'ai is happy with his "near max" on his 780 so was only thinking in his case a 780Ti would get him there.

Also clock for clock a T780i is faster as more Cores.

I've got the asus Pb278q and want something with the same spec but a much smaller all round bezel will this new Asus have a very slim bezel or can someone recommend some other monitor

6mm bezels on the ROG monitor if I recall correctly, that is very slim by any measure.

I'm thinking I really want G-SYNC but also better colours

I hope my 680's don't run out of VRAM, I personally think they'll do great at 1440p they munch anything.

We shall see...

good man thanks

while we wait for this to come out, what would be considered a good contrast ratio for a TN panel? I note IPS can nearly hit 1000:1

my xl2420T is really bad at resolving shadow detail, everything approaching dark just black crushes:(

however I just realised putting the monitor into RGB mode last night that I have been using it for years with really bad colours!

strobed is quite cool for desktop use though:)

Really want to move to 1440p, this looks like it could be the monitor for me. Just waiting on UK prices.

I'm confident the spec in my sig should run the games I play at this res. hopefully it will be under £500
