The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

I dont understand it either. But I was quite explicit in my web note, and all I got told was they would send another out upon inspecting this one. Trouble is they won't get it back until Friday now, so I won't see another until Monday at the earliest. And the payment has gone out of my account now, so I am 600 quid lighter and with nothing to show for it until early next week. :(

My cursor has been hovering over the buy button for a few weeks now but I'm really holding out for an IPS 144Hz G-Sync.

I know Acer have their Acer Predator XB270HU IPS G-Sync 144Hz coming next month but I'd prefer Asus due to their style of housing/stand.

Waits for loads of swifts to turn up in MM ....IPS 144mhz is were its at..tft central have even said it...:D:D

shame 5ub isn't still involved in customer service, he was a great goto guy for solving stuff like this.

I'd call them first thing tbh and say it's not good enough, maybe PM Gibbo to look into this.

Everyone has a different take on good customer service, the person who dealt with this might feel this is acceptable, I think it's pretty poor personally and you would be well within your right to kick up a bit of a fuss and ask for another one to be sent out ASAP.

No company gets it right all the time, hopefully they show some willingness to help you out.

great monitor once you get your own one!

You'll be suprised...Mark my words...What was once Hot very soon becomes not in PC hardware...! :p

It's been hot for nearly a year, that's almost a lifetime in tech terms.

Each pannel type has certain limitations, while I would love an IPS screen that's this responsive, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

Something better will come out, always does, but for now this is a fine product.

Good luck getting it sorted rare

Can't really see it unless its a pretty big step up in IPS type panel terms - the TN 120+ will still be king for FPS gaming, though a 120Hz IPS would be nice for desktop use, MMOs, etc. and other moderately paced games and/or single player.

Hi Jim - Asus, good to see you guys have a rep on here.

Could you please clarify exactly what - Warranty: 3yr (On-Site with Asus) actually means?

everyone seems to have a different opinion on it, but it would be great to hear from you what it actually is.

I'm currently in the process of an RMA. It seems they ship you a replacement monitor first, when you put in a successful claim. They then collect the faulty one a few days later. Main issue with this system seems to be stock levels, I got an e-mail this morning saying they were out of stock and they'd e-mail me when that changes.

Could someone who has completed a direct claim with Asus confirm what they want when it is collected? Is it a regular courier collecting the boxed up monitor or a specialist picking up just the monitor on its own?

that's how it should be (can't blame anyone for stock levels) but it clearly hasn't gone that way for a fair few, hence asking for a clarification.

If that is how they indeed do it, then great, asus have come on a long way from my last rma experience with them.
