having both a 1440p IPS and a 4K TN, I can honestly say that "eurgh TN" is not a thing any more - my 4K TN knocks the socks off my IPS for gaming and can't say I notice any difference for touching up photos, I have no qualms about testing another TN monitor
and yes, it is basically priced according to being the only 1440p high refresh / 3D / gsync monitor on the market, each and every tick box is adding to the "price", and then you have the fact that Asus seem to add another £100 because Asus
 
Just as one other dude was saying on another forum, most people that trashtalk TN dont know what they are talking about, most have not even seen a proper IPS and do not work with photo editing etc.

Just BS talk as a good TN is more then plenty for gaming these days and most people cant even see the difference IRL so they are just full of it.

I think that the dude have right there as my Asus VG278H have wonderful colours and I wouldent for the world downgrade to a crappy 60Hz panel even how perfect the colours would be.

And the ROG will be 8 bit native so for me all IPS panels can just go and die, I couldent care less.

144hz with g-sync @1440P, count me in :)

Wow, so much butthurt over a monitor. Chill out guys, nobody should dictate to another person that the money they spend is a waste. That's for the person who goes out and earns that money to decide.
 
Really, the only butthurt is from the people who are handing criticism of the ROG Swift really poorly. You'd think they'd designed and produced them themselves.

The only criticism I have seen is price moaning and that one pic of green tint. If you don't want to buy it stop ****ing on other peoples fires until we get solid reviews. Otherwise it just comes across as jealousy.

People are criticising the price because the price is bad, whether that matters to some is another matter but from an objective perspective, the price is poor when you are comparing it to other products available.

I'm guessing you're going to suggest I am only criticising the price because I "can't afford" one, right?
 
The price is bad? Then why have OCUK fully sold out? Name another model with the same specs? You can't. The price is relative and clearly people are willing to pay what OCUK and other retailers are charging.

To be honest I couldn't give a rats arse if you can afford it or not.

It's all about jealousy. The people knocking it are the one that really want it. They can't afford it so all they do is blast anyone that talks good about it.

So sad really. I could care less. I'll say what I want don't like it to bad:D
 
Retro you keep stating you couldn't care less so why do you appear in every thread saying so and crapping on anyone's opinion that goes against your own.

Silly little child who can barely string a sentence together never mind put an opinion across correctly.

It's got nothing to do with being able to afford it, the argument started through that InSync guy insulting people who preferred IPS, I didn't even say that either he just assumed so.

Oh wow you're really deluding yourself aren't you? Why would I want a ROG swift when I have 3x IPS 2560x1440 monitors already? Stop being so delusional.

Also, it's you couldn't care less. Claiming that you could care less means you actually do care. Derp.
