The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

Good idea, what's your's going up for? ;)

I'd have to work for at least 3/4 weeks to even be able to afford it :(

:D
Don't think i could sell any part of my body, would need to be silly cash and me being in a very sticky situation for me to really consider it.

The way works going atm, 2 weeks overtime pays for this monitor...my problem is saving the overtime, then i've got my current downgrade of my computer coming. Do i keep a 4790k, get a 780 classy from a well respected member at very nice prices, or go with my original plan of stripping, selling and moving to a 4130 and 750ti?

Choices i'm not responsible enough to make.

Smash in obscene amounts of OT then ***** it all up the wall on computer parts, we wouldn't live life any other way tone and you know it :D

Did £1300 in OT last month and nothing to spend it on (hint hint Gibbo re: Acer4k launch price)

I've been paying off my outstanding debts :)
That's not fun though, but would like to be debt free next year. This monitor ticks all boxes, but like i've said that price is just hard to swallow...it's £200 more than i'd like to spend and truth be told, what's £200 for a monitor that's likely to last 3+ years?

The bigger problems comes with my computer, really not happy with these 290s, Gee has a couple of classys up for sale soon and a very reasonable price (good for 1400+) now, do i go back to a 780 and get this? Or go with my original plan of downgrading my rig as all i use it for is browsing this forum :p

The guy gets on my **** tbh. Some reviews are OK as long as they're short. His case reviews are generally complete tosh.

Oh well not as bad as that tastypc bint, nice rack zero personality.

I have a hard time listening to that guy, especially after I came across his site and the odd little clique of minions he has over there.

I have seen a dispute on his site where TTL was completely wrong and his forum users were backing TTL up, he was then proven to be wrong and he deleted the posts from the guy who was correct and changed his OP. No sorry or anything. I find that very shameful.

Haha wasn't that the 'lurpack' debate on his m6e review? Basically got called out for not knowing what he's doing with an oc. Or when kaap asked him about haswell efficiency and he got called out again for not knowing anything about that either.

The post "8 pack can't post here but lurpack can" will live long in the memory :D

I knew it would be pricey, but £719 is out of this world. I imagine it will be close the £550 mark in a year or so. Might be tempted then.

It was Kaap's debate. Shameful in honesty Paul and I have never watched anything of his or gone back to his site since.

Found it a bit funny that TTL couldnt explain the basics of vsync vs gsync that well because it was "very complicated" stuff according to him. He spent way to much time and overcomplicated it to the point where i just killed the video. I lol'd alittle ..

Well she atleast does her research and seems to know what it is she is dealing with in each review.. The only thing about her im not a fan off is her high pitch S's that makes my ear slightly bleed.
