The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

PCM2 - you should start saying how amazing asus is even when they release trash, you would probably get a free one then!

Heh. I couldn't bring myself to lie... Although I could say such things and then redact the statements afterwards. ;)

I should have one of these with me before the end of the week. Review to be done as quickly as humanly possible. Keep an eye on @TFTCentral on Twitter for updates as it arrives and as i test various bits :)

Great to hear, really looking forward to your thoughts on it. :)

great news

will this be a no strings review tho are there certain conditions

can you talk about ULMB

Hope you do not need to RMA it, be PIA and costly but then again some manu's make us send stuff to Holland (Corsair) or Germany (EVGA).

The very same reason the 120HZ overclocked Korean models have 1 input.

Having multiple inputs on a multiplier adds input lag.

That's completely untrue. Having multiple inputs adds absolutely no input lag whatsoever. The controller only uses whichever interface is active.

Lowest input lag TFTs atm are the BenQ 144hz model on 'direct' mode. They all have multiple inputs (except for the still unreleased G-Synch models).

I know you have contacts at BenQ ... have they made any indication when they're likely to start shipping 2560x1440 144hz monitors?

So why do reviews claim that and the site that all those Korean monitors are talked about on and 1 certain monitor I read above a few weeks back has an extra input on a separate multiplier to avoid lag. (cannot remember where I read it or if it was on YT).

QUOTE:

Up first is a display which has been touted for years as a very low latency monitor, the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP. This monitor only has a Dual-Link DVI connection, meaning that there is no scaler chip included, so latency should be low.

Assume scaler chip is same as multiplier and they are not talking about upscaling like TV's do with SD to HD.
