Apart from the fact we have a better win % when he isnt playing you mean?

Yes the result wasn't the greatest, but it flattered West Brom. We will get tonked a few times this year as we get used to the BR style of play but I think we will also dish out a few hammerings aswell.

We really do need a striker though, a guy that can stick it in the net. Suarez isn't a number 9. Either play Carroll in the middle or get Jordan Rhodes in.

How is that an "apart from the fact", in what way is Gerrard playing badly for the team when he's on the bench? When he's ON the pitch and playing badly the team are terrible, because when he's on the pitch everyone seems to be sucked into the Gerrard show, everyone passes to Gerrard, everyone expects Gerrard to create something, everyone waits for Gerrard to step up, everyone lets him take the freekicks and do what he wants and plays around Gerrard.

If Aguero has a bad game, someone else steps up, if Silva has a bad game someone else steps up, when Gerrard is on the pitch no one does anything and if Gerrard doesn't do anything Liverpool suck. When he's not on the pitch Liverpool look like a team of players again(still a not great team though), hence they need to move on from Gerrard, he's not a patch on the player he was a few years ago to the point where he seems to hurt the team more often than win games for them now.

Show me a team that performed when their captain, their talismanic player didn't? Arsenal certainly didn't when Van Persie wasn't firing. Man United arguably don't when Rooney isn't playing well. Man City struggle when Yaya doesn't play well.

As usual, you start spouting off your Anti Liverpool agenda and as usual your talking out your behind.

Oh and it could be argued that we only fell away from the Champions League spots once Lucas got injured, our bad form coinciding when he wasn't in the team. Nothing to do with how well Gerrard was playing up until then.

It could be argued, it would be wrong of course, but it could be argued.

As for my anti liverpool agenda, how is saying Liverpool need to replace Gerrard anti Liverpool? A player can't get worse, ever, and if suggested its anti Liverpool.

Have Man city won when Yaya hasn't played well, yes, have Arsenal when RVP hasn't played well yes, have Utd when Rooney hasn't played well, ALL THE TIME.

THe point is HOW OFTEN Gerrard isn't performing well not that Liverpool are worse when he doesn't, so you're arguing about entirely the wrong thing(s).

It's the fact that Yaya had a 6 week not great spell last year, not helped by ACN, he was EPIC in a HUGE portion of their games last year, Gerrard was poor for a good half a season and his number of EPIC performances well, being generous, 2-3?

RVP had bad games and didn't score, but he still was absolutely fantastic in the VAST MAJORITY of his games. Rooney had plenty of bad games where he still popped up with two tap ins, but his terrible games were few and far between.

Liverpool play like they have Yaya, like Gerrard can win them 3/4's of the games in a season because he's so good and no one else has to be relied upon, that used to be true, Gerrard can't be relied on to be that good that often. Hence the problem, your talisman is no longer a talisman when he can only get it up a few times a year.

Just no. With lucas, gerrad, adam etc you just don't make it into cl.

.

I don't think he was referring to the Gerrard comments, it was the rest of the tripe you spouted. LFC do seem to get you riled more than most. Need a hug?:)

Dawson to QPR, am I the only one completely confused as to why Spurs would sell Dawson?
Possibly AVB views him as too slow and doesn't want a repeat of JT not being able to play the high line? Maybe he's perceived as too injury prone? Or it could be that as an English player Dawson is worth an inflated fee that AVB sees as being better value spent elsewhere?

The Spurs clear out makes some sense, but only if there money available to improve. The little indication of incoming replacements must be alarming for Spurs fans, but there must surely be some plan there.

I can't see how last season's captain suddenly becomes an outcast and the third choice centre back. Half of me thinks this is down to Levy balancing the books after bending over backwards to get in Ade and hoping AVB can replace him with someone on a free transfer.

Seen this video on youtube of the new Liverpool documentary coming to Channel 5 in the next couple of months, looks like it's going to be a bit like 'hard knocks' the NFL series.

Rogers giving Stirling a bit of a dressing down.
