in all seriousness, if levy doesn't release the funds that AVB wants and needs, he will go elsewhere.

levy needs to realise that the next 5 yrs could be a real growth period for spurs if the new stadium gets the go ahead and spurs could have a great, long term manager in AVB if we stick by him.

levy wanted AVB and he has made no secret of this. now he needs to back him up with funds. he didn't do this last season and we still haven't signed anyone. if levy is looking at AVB as a compensation package manager then there's zero point in building a new stadium imo as spurs will constantly be a 5th - 8th pl side for the next 5 years.

I watch him on ESPN a lot and he's excellent. He got sacked for telling the truth about Arsenal and Wenger not being good enough. Obvioudly Arsenal fans dont appreciate him saying not so nice things about their team.

No, he got sacked for being on the payroll of the club, and doing nothing but mouth off against the club, not a particularly bright thing to do is it? If your paid by the club to commentate on their games, they'd want you to put a positive spin on the game surely?
Criticism is fair, but Robson goes far beyond this, he is very anti Wenger. Some of the things he has said (Wenger and Bould not talking) are proven to be rubbish too.

Well i can only comment from what i seen of him on ESPN. Love him as a pundit has giid knowledge of the game and talks sense. His main problem is Wenger not spending the money and how bad they are defensively.

Best away defense in the league, 2nd best overall?

To be fair the end of the season they done well, but i still think The defence is not great at all. If Koscielny can keep up his end of season form he will be a really good player next season for u. When ever i have watched Arsenal i have seen them stretched and exposed easily dont rate ur defence at all.

You've got Shelvey to run around and kick people :p

I'd love to get David Luiz if Mourinho's selling. Utter, utter nutter. Absolutely hilarious though.

To be clear, I didn't want him back just because he's a nutcase and kicks medics :p I want him back because he's a fantastic player and exactly the player we need.

I spoke a lot last season about how we were easy to break against and/or getting overrun in midfield. I can't remember too many times where we got overrun in midfield when Masch was there.

Blimey.
I guess the club have to stick to their guns if they think his agent is a disruptive influence.

Tony Pulis to go in and revolutionize the years of hard work by Martinez, Rodgers and Laudrup :p

Lucas kind of does that though now doesn't he?

In fact where is he, is he still injured?

No, although he took a good few months to get match fit again after (in effect) a year out, he's been back since before xmas.

As for whether he does/can do the job, it's a difficult one. He's not recaptured the form he was showing prior to his injury but even if/when he does, I'm not sure he's the style of DM we need. He often got isolated last season (through no fault of his own) and isn't physically capable of getting out of those situations. Masch, despite his size, is a warrior and incredibly quick. With the way we play and with Gerrard likely to be the 2nd CM, we need more of a physical presence in midfield imo.

Lucas showed glimpses of his pre injury form, but a lot of the time he was having to do the work of 2 or 3 people, covering for Gerrard and often trying to fill in for the fullbacks went they went wonndering up field.

I don't think he is/was anywhere near match fit still and needs this pre season to regain his stamina and physicality. But it is a worry that he might not capture the form he showed pre injuries.

If we were to take anyone from Spain then it has to be Alonso ;) Masch would be a perfect fit for any of last seasons top 3 though.

How do these people gets jobs?
