Spoke to Joe Kinnear. 3 year contract at #nufc as director of football. Overseeing playing style and transfers.
"I'll have final say." - What a mess, he sounds drunk.
Bring on Arab ownership. I want to buy trophies dammit!
EDIT: This club will not go nowhere fast with these lot in charge: Ashley, Llambias, Kinnear & Pardew - You couldn't find a worse foursome to run your club.
Mike Ashley, Super Troll.
"Shevchenko? It’s not true the owner forced him on me."
"Never, never during my time did the owner interfere in the basic things of the manager – training sessions, team selection, the profile of player I want to bring."
"Do you want to know the truth about Shevchenko? I hope the board is not upset with me. We wanted to buy Samuel Eto’o, he was our target. We wanted Eto’o and the owner was more than ready to do *everything to bring Eto’o here."
"In the end, Barcelona said, ‘We don’t sell, forget it, forget it. Not any price’. The owner did everything to get him, but it was not possible. After that, we went to other options and got to Shevchenko. I was happy with him."
"I knew that Ferguson was retiring many months ago, and I am so happy with his trust because it was big news for the world - I can imagine that just a very small circle around him knew that, and it was a big responsibility for me to know that.
"Why do I know that? Because we are friends, so if I am his friend to know that he is going to retire, he is also my friend to know that the club I want to coach in England is Chelsea. Of course I told him I want to come to Chelsea."
Mourinho added: "I would have turned down every job in the world, the Manchester United job, everyone, for Chelsea I would turn down every job in the world."

I knew it wouldn't be long before one of you two Chelsea supporters posted those quotes, suffice to say it's easy for Mourinho to say Chelsea was the only club he wanted to manage after he wasn't even considered for any of the others. Funny how he never said anything like that during the past 6 years though isn't it![]()
When asked if he and United could be ‘a marriage’ when Fergie finally retires, Mourinho said: “Who can say no? Nobody could say ‘no’.
“Manchester United belongs to a small group of clubs around the world where nobody can say ‘no’.
