Shame for the person involved if it was an accident but you can't have someone like that in a public facing position if they don't know anything about the history of the club and football.

The kind of ***** that write those sort of Tweets in the first place (on both sides) will just use it as ammunition for Sunday now :(

Indeed, the kid who tweeted it , wouldn't have had the medium to do this kind of thing in the past, for Liverpool not to pick up on it is the part for me, they should have more nouse than that really with such a volatile game coming up.

I don't see how this can be anything but a bad thing. If the person tweeting on Liverpools behalf didn't realise the implications of the songs then there is still the issue that apparently Liverpool players listen to the songs in the dressing room anyway which is worse in some ways.

If he did realise then he is just a **** and should be fired. Either the club are a bunch of gimps or the person working their twitter is.

Either he didn't understand the meaning behind the tweet or he's the biggest moron that's ever lived. With 1m+ followers it was bound to have been picked up by somebody.

Given that the account tweeted something to do with respect between the 2 clubs, citing the match last season following the Hillsborough news, just before that I've got to assume he had no idea about the meaning.

Have to admit I didn't know how the last two songs were relevant to the disaster until I searched. I don't listen to football chants half the time so wouldn't have a clue that some fans had switched words around...

Not exactly banter but does anyone remember me posting about an Everton fan being stabbed after the game at home against QPR last season? Well good news...

@RadioCityNews: NEWS: QPR fan Leon Hughes, who stabbed an Evertonian in the chest after the game at Goodison in April, has been jailed for 5 years.

You only get 5 years for essentially attempting to end someone's life...

'Wounding with intent' my ****.

"I only wanted to paper cut him" said the man who plunged the knife straight in to the victim's lung.
