Got to say, the little we've seen from Rodgers at Liverpool so far has been quite impressive. Far more confident we'll do better this season than had Dalglish still been in charge.

the hilarious thing is Hleb of all of those, managed to win the champs league in another country AND come back and get the league cup against Arsenal, and he was too crap to actually play for Barca and Brum barely played him because he was so crap.

Yet Wenger favoured Hleb over Pires, one of the three best players ever at Arsenal, and Reyes, who was very very good and miles better than Hleb.

Both Pires and Reyes have said before that the champs league final was the final straw for them, Reyes was dropped for Hleb completely despite Reyes contributing significantly, he started eleven god damned games and was very good, yet Hleb got the nod for the final, then when Lehman got sent off we took off Pires rather than Hleb, I think both decisions cost us in that game badly.

Absolutely gutted - poor lad, we will definitely miss him. At least the midfield stepped up when he left the pitch on sunday. I hope it continues. I hope we give him enough time to recover, there is no point in rushing him back. I was surprised he was back playing so quickly after his knee injury
