The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

Yeh I'm going for a single 980Ti. I'm also thinking about getting an OCUK branded one as apparently they are good clockers and come with a 3 year warranty. I need a reference card for h20 so no need for the branded models.

Might be up for some games tonight as long as we don't play caspan again!

Yeah caspian was a nightmare I only went on it to get the DAO then everyone started joining as I was about to leave, to many C4's and bush wookies

That's not long to wait? I'm really dreading having to take my loop apart to be honest!

i did mine the other day it was a right pain, blood red coolent as well had to be right careful, i must put a drain in

i cant wait to hear some real life results from the 980Ti

Yeh I just got a matching pair of Koolance QD3 Male + Female Quick Disconnects for that reason!

Getting back into gaming .

Got a new PC arriving Friday .

GPU is the gigabyte 980 ti G1 but not in stock at the moment so will have to make do with a 6950 until then .

Got a nice 144 Hz gsync benq monitor as well .

Look forward to some BF4 with you chaps again soon.

Just had a really enjoyable game on the map where there is a bridge with bollards you can put up and big skyscrapers (can't remember the name). It was on a 1200 point server on conquest and it went down to the wire with our team winning by 8 points with a small band of us holding off an onslaught on the middle point. It's great when randoms in a squad actually try and do stuff together rather than lone wolf it.

I am growing extremely tired of BF4 crashing to the desktop. I have tried:

1) Removing my CPU overclock entirely
2) Reverting back to DirectX from Mantle
3) Latest drivers for everything

Do the Nvidia users find that the game doesn't crash for them? I play with two of my friends from work who have Nvidia cards, and BF4 never crashes for them. I am considering selling my 2 x 290s at a considerable loss and getting a 980Ti. This will cost ~£300 and I won't gain any extra performance, but I sure as hell hope it'll be more stable.

Siege of Shanghai.

Every so often you find a great team that work together without comms and it's great. Shame it happens so rarely so TS is the way forward.

I am not crashing but I get CPU spikes that drop my fps from 190 to 10 like 4 times a game.... very very annoying... looks like you are better of with Nvidia...

GG's last night - bless that server, they really got angry.

As an Nvidia user wanted I've had some crashes but probably 1 every month or so, nothing even close to being regular. Have you manually updated Punkbuster? That caused a few people crashes before.

Hey,

Yeah I updated Punkbuster manually at the end of last week. The game crashes approximately once per hour. I was almost at the end of a 2000 ticket game last night when it crashed, again. I think most of the neighbourhood heard my frustration :(

I could try formatting the PC, but I'm not convinced that it will make any difference. I get the feeling that either AMD's drivers are rubbish, or Crossfire is inherently flawed because I experience weird issues like the blood splatter in Dying Light flickering which it doesn't do when CF is disabled.
