The system needed a cleanup anyway, it was win7->win8->win8.1->win10 upgrade.
I've lost a night's gaming, but in the long run I'll have a cleaner leaner machine.

Games were all installed on a separate drive, so I won't need to re-download them all. (And I have most of my steam game installers on an archive drive anyway).

OK. I was just running Win 7 x64 so I was happy to do an image backup. I suppose if you were running updated OS on top of updated OS it makes sense to do a clean install.

I played BF4 on my loaner 6950 and had to put everything down to medium preset to get FPS even into the 50's. Smooth ish but can't wait for my card to come back now.

Low for a pro mate. Everything except mesh and terrain quality which put as ultra. I still play with these settings on my 8gb 290X.

Edit: And were fine on my on HD6970
Edit2: and texture filtering... max that too.

I had terrible FPS issues on a system that should stomp BF4. Turned out it was because Win7 was parking 3 of my 4 CPU cores. Downloaded a little program to unlock them and voila! Rock solid 144FPS.

Same, my 780 has never seen BF4 on anything other than low.

It does look nice at max though... but the novelty wears off fast and it becomes distracting.

Only the best right! Honestly I would rather have more frames than IQ. Anything less than 99% @ 135 doesn't feel right to me. I think on games like GTA where the pace is slower then it makes sense to ramp up the IQ.

Just got a Beta Code for the new CoD game from Snips, might play it this evening.

If it isn't any good (I'm keeping an open mind) I might be on for a few games.

Or I may watch GBBO.

It has changed! You get more killstreak perks, double jump bunny hopping and a range of fetching DLC skins!

Which is why I'll be giving it a miss.

Oh and I can't stand GBBO.

I'm going to give the beta a run, never played a CoD on PC before, but I won't be buying the game.

Might defo be on BF4 tomorrow and Friday though.

That's guaranteed. COD is the console King, it's just a shame that BF is becoming that way

I came to BF to get away from COD and now it has become what I despised :mad:

Makes me want to give up PC gaming full stop especially since E3 demos are unrealistic of the finished product.
