Why did they have to mess with AA missiles....

Its like they just wanted buff vehicles because "oh we're different from COD".

Always loved annoying Heli campers (who only spawn when the heli spawns) and now my snail of a rocket does nothing half the time :(
 
LOL MAA scrubs that can't use it for **** crying their crutches are gone. If you were using AA missiles you were a bad MAA driver.

They nerfed missiles slightly as they were stupidly overpowered yet still far less effective than Zuni's. If you have any kind of aim the MAA guns do far more damage than missiles.

Exactly. main guns for anti air, zunis for ground vehicles and infantry.

I think the whole approach of the one man AA vehicle is just wrong and doesn't fit the game - for long range missile use it should depend on teamwork i.e. someone else operating SOFLAM, etc.

Damage was buffed though... so need less to take down a heli... slightly longer lock and slower missile speed in exchange for like 60% more damage?

A dangerous point defense option. With drastically reduced acceleration and increased lock time, targets gets a much better warning period than previously. High damage.
Acceleration reduced to 50m/s² from 100m/s²
Lock time increased to 1.3s from 1.0s
Ray length increased to 400m from 350m
Damage increased to 270 from 175
Time to live reduced to 7s from 10s
Matched static position with IGLA
Physics: Impact impulse reduced to 2000 from 2500
Acceptance angle reduced to 5° from 7°
Turn rate reduced to 250 max from 360 max

Edit: Plus negates the 'Below Radar' buff that air vehicles have had.

That was bugged to begin with I think.

I would rather have the less damage and flies faster. It feels way to slow, lock on is fine but the fly speed is terrible, Unless your right next to them or have a team of 2 or 3 of you shooting them down.. and you know pugs :rolleyes:

Just seemed like they nerfed it for no reason, I didn't feel it was OP, you just needed to be a bit of a skilled pilot to get away from them, now it feels like a peashooter vs a tank. :(
