If you're going to jump in a tank or LAV as a gunner, run thermal optics, and incendiary grenade. That way you'll see anyone coming, and you can also get people hiding in buildings/behind walls or on roofs with the incendiary. Oh and remember to bring a rep tool!

The way I like to run the AA is hit and run style. It's really fast and maneuverable so if you are constantly looking at your map you can out maneuver someone quite easily and get a nice salvo of Zuni's in the rear and then quickly finish them off as long as you time your APS. The trick with the AA is not to get caught out by another vehicle as its difficult to defend given the small health you have to start with. Also don't be afraid to use your main canon on vehicles - it definitely helps when you are waiting for your Zuni's to reload and can be useful for killing infy who may try to RPG you.

Hit and run with AA and LAV is the way, you're right. Gives you a breather to replenish zunis/TOW respectively and adjust the paintwork ;)

I'm toying with the idea of either 1070 or 1080 SLI ;)

Should be on from about 2pm BST mate.

Yeah Razz put in some solid rounds. I think it was lockers where the only enemy team members who seemed to be causing me much trouble were Razz and aFanatic. OcUK players rock! :)

Was I a bad man for using the mortar? :(
 
Downloaded this again last night hopefully be on tonight for a few rounds need to sort all my settings out again first.

Also had a weird thing happen last night i was in a game then all of a sudden the screen went blank and it but me on a battlescreen to a different server :s

listen mate, he used shotgun so the rule book goes to scrap at that moment you are allowed to use RPG on infantry whatever you want mate
 
Good games in the end mostly :)

It was refreshing to have someone using a SOFLAM on shanghai, the LAV TOW becomes a beast with lockon. It got me thinking about the round we struggled at on dawnbreaker and the 10 or so snipers on our team on the tall building between E and C flags. Thinking if just one of those snipers had had the wits to use the SOFLAM, we wouldn't have been struggling to get out of base.

I think next time I come across a tanking crew that well drilled, I might have to resort to staff shell. Taste of our own medicine for once I guess.

Anyone on this evening?

I'm on call this week so I'll be on most evenings. If we have enough players, I think I may give the SOFLAM a shot and stick it on the top of a building to catch the vehicles.

I think that's the trick, "if we have enough players". We all tend towards being the vehicle crew on most maps, and if we have more than a whole squad or other people in the team are taking the vehicles we need to be able to diversify more (Me especially). I will go infantry and do my best to PTFO, but perhaps I need to be a little more cunning and learn to use the recon class effectively.

We desperately need more talented pilots as well, apart from Sidey, we don't really have any effective air (Except for Xonatic and aFanatic when they are on).

I think we only need a min of 4 of us, maybe 5. 2 vehicles and a recon with SOFLAM. I think there is a stigma against Recon due to the fact you get hammered by snipers and they don't seem to do much - well, from what we've seen on the servers we're on anyway. I don't mind and quite enjoy going recon but you need to have a team who know what they're doing.

I guess we'll find out tonight how well it goes...I'm up for going Recon :)
 
Does anyone know of issues with recent AMD drivers? I keep getting BF4 stopped responding and a crash to desktop, did a reinstall but its still doing it, cant even launch the game past the loading screen :(
 
Prolly be on tonight - with a few players SOFLAM and TOW or javelin can wreck - used to do that when my bro and some friends played a bit but needs a 5 man squad atleast.
