The Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Constant crashes with BF4 so tried going back to Planet side tonight not one crash in 3hrs of play..

Same old story with BF Well at least the newer versions when they just seemed to be interested in making as much money as they can for as long as they can :( Bring back Desert combat :)
 
Joined OcUK platoon now - well, it was a few days ago.

Logged on recently on my laptop, surprised to see I'm still 19th in the UK for MBTs! Maybe I will be able to get into the top 10 after all :)
 
Just saw the weirdest thing happen ever - was at #1 position on a server and we were winning by 500-150 suddenly 5 second lag and 4-5 people who were at the bottom of our team with like 1-0 scores were at 37-4 ish scores and above me and tickets were down to 75-120 within the space of that lag it was almost like 2 different games merged. I assume somehow half the players in the game were totally desynced to the other half :S

On another note m98b + canted ironsights is awesome bolt action fun :D shame most servers would still ban it under sniper rules :|

Now your talking, that was epic, much fun to be had, played it for hours on end.

Do you know i see this twice yesterday, i was second with say 8000 points and then a sort of lag and all of a sudden i was 5th and the people above had over 10000 points when the nearest to me was on like 6000 points, thought it was my imagination at first.

I don't know how any bolt action is "fun" with the amount of desynchronisation between clients this game has.
 
because not everyone gets that majnu


i say it regular find a server that is great for you reg wise and you'll have a lot of good fun. i searched found one where my reg is perfect.

only reason i do bad is because of my own skills not net reg.

my ping is about 8-9 on the server and it never seems laggy :cool:

speaking of my experience of console servers - the bad reg and rubber banding seems to be completely random.

I suspect there's a memory leak or something in the server code as I've seen good servers go bad. Some people are adament its map based - but I'm not so sure personally

The game is not consistent enough to be fun or competitive. Anyway I'm not going to argue/debate the issue as there are enough articles, user feedback, forum posts that suggest otherwise.

I would argue that lower skilled players don't tend to notice the issues as much.

lol i said it would never be competitive before it launched :D

im not talking about competitive im talking about the reg is decent if you get a good server.

frenzy just lol. its piece of **** to win on any server.
 
Had a slight hiatus from the game for a couple of days, feels nice. Might be about tonight and the weekend for some games!

Nah been at work and couldn't be arsed to play in the evenings. Had zero enegry or enthusiasm to play it.
 
PLzzzzz while this game has many faults and some of it can be luck, there is a competitive scene (albeit it not large) and you'll find many people with no aiming issues. Cerainly there are some syncing issues as infy but it's still very good fun to play in comp..


On that note...here comes the plug.

Team UK are playing Team South Africa tonight at 6:30 GMT. I'll try and update with Twitch streams but I am fairly sure at least this guy will be streaming.
