Alright guys I've read 100s of pages on the ea forums with no fix found. Wondering if anyone here has had the same issue and fixed it. I can play campaign for as long as I like. When I play multiplayer after less than 10m in it crashes with a direct x hang error. Lots of people seem to be getting this some on the campaign too.

My specs: asus m5a99fx pro r2.0, fx8350 @ 4.8ghz, evga gtx770 sc acx, 8gb corsair vengeance blue @1920mhz, corsair cx750m, custom watercooling loop for cpu and gpu.

Temps under load: cpu - 43 core and 61 socket prime95 blend for 1 hour
Gpu - 38 deg c unigine heaven 4.0 on loop for 1 hour.

A fix would be most appreciated. When it runs I get 60fps plus on ultra.
 
DX Errors with the game _usually_ correspond to GPU instability so if you are overclocking try backing the clock down 1-2 speed bins - I can get my GPU "stable" in heaven at settings that will crash out in BF4 within minutes.

That said the game is so broken it wouldn't suprise me if it wasn't system stability but its the first thing I'd discount.
 
Anyone else having sound problems? As of a few days ago my sound keeps cutting out every so often, it will go silent for about 8 seconds then resume. If I am firing a gun while the sound cuts out the gun will carry on firing even if I release the trigger. Very odd. Very annoying.
 
I get that issue when using realtek onboard (still happens on my laptop from time to time for no apparent reason) sticking my old X-Fi in on my gaming PC sorted it so never given it another thought. Not sure if it is a sound hardware thing or some other bug.

Per Rroff, trying running everything at stock. Failing that, it might just be quicker to try formatting - its often the quickest solution to an complex software issue.
 
Ok rroff I'll try that thanks. My gtx770 is currently +120mhz clock and +100 MHz memory clock. With gpu boost 2.0 I'm seeing 1350mhz is on the clock speed. As you said above I can run any other game plus heaven 4.0 looping for an hour at those clocks.

Is the campaign less gpu intensive than multiplayer as it hasn't done during campaign yet. I have seen others that it has tho. I'll try stock speed tomorrow and post back if it worked or not. If it doesn't should I try going to -50, -100 etc on the clock to see if that works?

my MSI 770 4GB gaming edition can only do 1260 MHZ......

what 770 u got?

You tried re-running this but as administrator?

It was all installed as admin I do with everything but I'll try a fresh install to see if I got anything wrong.

It's an evga gtx770 sc acx youdsy on stock clocks it's boosts to 1241mhz. I think I got a good card :). That was on air as well. I've not tried pushing it anymore than the +120mhz yet. I've only recently got a second monitor so I leave evga precision and hwmonitor open on it so I can watch what it's up to.

Ok guys an update. I'm not sure which worked but I set gpu to default and ran the direct x setup as admin and let it identify and update as it saw fit and I just completed a full conquest game on siege of Shanghai no problems. Even was in a game with an ocuk player on the opposite team who killed me haha.

I'm off to bed now but tomorrow I'll try it with my oc settings and see what happens. Many thanks for your help :)

Oh I tried rfactor with it oc to see exactly what it boosted too at +120mhz and it was 1358mhz :)
 
Meant to jump on around 8.15 but fell a sleep on the couch :p


For some reason my GPU wasn't being fully utilized tonight thus a choppy game :mad:


Lets hope we get NS within the week and not a big delay like there was with second assault......


At least I got bioshock infinite episode 2 DLC to play in the mean time! :cool:

To be fair the 40mm are in need of a buff, they are pathetic. Back when me and Tony were in the gunship on Paracel the other night I could have got more kills by throwing rocks out of the side :D

The 20mm however are very powerful already and I don't really think are in need of much of a buff.

haha :D

I couldn't care less if the gunship got completely nerfed to the point that even a pistol could take it out :p

Don't get why everyone complains about Premium. I bought Premium on release, I have played 287 hours and it cost me somewhere around £80 to buy them both.

That is 30 pence per hour.

Utter bargain!

Main reasons I am regretting premium:

- dlcs have been **** so far imo
- the one dlc that is looking amazing has been delayed and only announced on the day of release with no explanation as to what the bug is or an ETA when we will get it yet the consoles are still getting it, for all we know, we could be waiting a 2-4 weeks for it to come to pc
- game been released 6-7 months now (??) and still isn't fully fixed, mainly the stability, netcode, what makes it even more annoying is that the beta ran sooooo good :(

Lockers is great fun when you have two good teams that are aware of the flags being capped and what to do etc. so chaotic in a good way :D

Seen like 10 guys coming to the middle of A, thought "holy ****, NOPE!", *dolphin dive* Stayed alive for about another 5 seconds :p

We have delayed the PC version of Naval Strike because we are concerned that the combination of the pack and planned PC updates would increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs. We are working hard to resolve that issue now. Additionally, we have decided to delay the Xbox One version of Naval Strike because we want to address issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations.

We know that many Battlefield 4 Premium owners wanted to play Naval Strike today. However, we didn’t want to release the new content until we believed it was quality content.

We are trying to resolve these problems as quickly as possible and hope to release the update in early April for Xbox One and PC. We also want to remind Xbox One and PC owners of Battlefield 4 Premium that they will have two weeks early access for Naval Strike once it’s released. Thanks for your continued patience and passion for our games.

so they've finally updated it to acknowledge they delayed it on Xbox one. Better late than never eh !

Is this the glitched new weapon models that PC users found out about weeks ago ? with the 3GL taking up the entire screen when aimed etc.. ? If thats the case I can't believe they didn't fix that in time.
