***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Yeah tried at stock, I'm wondering if its a power issue too, as I have my 360 controller, a USB stick and headphones all plugged into the actual board, the USB is a hub and 3.5mm is pass through.

Edit:

5v
500ma

Had a quick blast on a 20 man shanghai dom server at 1440, besides from the screen tearing it was actually quite smooth, my aim seems to be 1000x better at 1440 too?

Oh think I've sorted the mouse problem but I'm a little ashamed to say what it is. Let's just say I owe dice an apology :o

Please do let who know :D just in case someone else had the same issue be nice to find out what it was.

Ok ok

Let me start by saying the issue with my old mouse (cm sentinel) is a disconnect issue related to windows 8.1, I've had this confirmed by cm.

So now my g500s was giving me no control using infantry...last night I let go of the mouse and noticed the camera was slightly moving in one direction, so unplugged my 360 controller and boom mouse is back in action.

360 controller is about 8 years old and worn, the right thumb stick has a lean on it which is occasionally sending movement commands to bf4, overriding mouse input.

Tl;Dr I need a new 360 controller.

Tut tut pg tips. The grief you gave Dice over that one lol. :D

And Greg all the fuss you kicked up yesterday about the 295x2 performance on that cut scene and yet you can't even run it or won't record it because of stutter lol. :D

Shame on you both gents. :p

Lol I know!! I still have to test further but a controller over riding mouse input sounds very plausible.

Wireless controller next, at least then I can turn it off without having to work my way through a birds nest of cables.

I think users will have a bad time with more volts on the 295, above all other things, a poxy 120x38mm won't cope with the heat load, I'd be surprised if it coped well at stock on prolonged load too.

Smoke and run is what i do most of the time but only works if the quad and the rest of the team grows a pair and push through the smoke as too often i end up pushing through alone with less chance of survival.

Snap.

Its a shame really as the game is 1000x better when you have a good squad supporting you.

Agree with setter, BF4/DICE issues get blame passed down to mantle. The new CIV game should be an ideal platform to show what its all about.

Take the frame pace bug atm, it literally takes 5 seconds to fix, you'd think a simple patch to change ONE NUMBER would be the easiest fix EVER. Yet they still haven't officially addressed it?

As we are often told one persons issue doesn't cover everyone, 337.50 have been near flawless for me :)

Not to mention I'm on a different OS to greg, might be why. Who knows!

New OS install for me at the weekend anyhow, this new ram not playing nicely with my motherboard has borked something, getting to windows now takes 10 mins not 10 seconds.

337.50 have been good for me in bf4 with a single card, win7 64 here.

Bad job about the beast ram Paul, seen your troubles in another thread. Very strange that it even needs 1.7v to run at it's xmp rating. Sure id have expected a need to bump chipset voltages with 16gb, but not actual dram v.

It reminds me an awful lot of the sammy green I tried to run in an MSI X79 board, daft volts to get anywhere near its rated speed. Turns out it just wasn't suited to the board. Will probably bang it up on the MM once all of OcUK's stock has deffo dried up.
