***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

I need one...unless it's with a shotgun (85%+ accuracy) or sniper (40%+ accuracy). Assault rifles atm I'm terrible with, just can't find one that agrees with me.

Hmm, I have adaptive vsync enabled, might be why? Sitting a nice tidy 2.1gb vram, somewhere under 4gb dram holding solid frames.

What isp are you all on that are having issues?

You're saving them? I only found out how to use them the other week, have near 200 of the boosts to use!!!!

Any of the maps good for rush? Any of them come close to damavand peak?

Managed a round, not sure on the origin of crash, haven't updated drivers in quite a while, still on 340.52 so probably due to update them.

Crash was a BF4.exe has stopped responding rather then anything directly pointing at the driver.

Did manage a round, didn't feel any different tbh but that may be down to GSync, hit regs certainly better. All they need to do now is port over damavand peak and I can uninstall BF3 :p

Could just be a one off, perhaps the game wants a system reboot or something before use. One thing I did notice is your player no longer auto-walks over minuscule objects, like a window frame lip on the floor entering a building, you now just get stuck until you hit space, bit of a step back tbh.

Will look into it more tomorrow, its obsolete for me in a few weeks anyhow, then its off to ELPIS!!!!!

Afaik the mantle issue from a patch earlier in the year (April?) Relating to a frame pace setting was rectified earlier in the summer. Though it won't fix any vram related issues for mantle on the 7000/280 series, afaik that problem is here to stay and is due to the nature of mantle wanting to use 5-700mb more vram then dx.

For me the turning point for horrible MultiGPU performance was July DLC Patch.. Wasn't just AMD and Mantle effected it was across the board.

CTE fixed this, but at the time I had no Fibre and keeping up with the updates was not enough for me to keep playing.

Ahh yes, the dragons teeth mess up, afaik one of those maps is still largely unplayable.

Ah didn't see the 1440p results, yer looks pretty hectic.

As far as new tech, yes it is, the 750ti isn't 3/4way sli capable, these are the first Maxwell cards capable of it so drivers/fine tuning appears to still be in its infancy. Also the 750ti doesn't have the vram system (forgot its official name) the new Maxwell cards have.

Personally I still think the bus will be a hindrance at 4K on titles like BF4, the new vram advantages come when less textures change on the screen, with something like BF4 you could easily see 80-90% of textures change at a time.

I see this new tech as a stop gap until stacked memory (finally) hits the mainstream. At which point it will have little relevance.

If im wrong can you please correct me and elaborate?

10 months to get the performance on 7900 (Never Settle performance drivers), frame pacing was ~18months on from launch, though not something anyone was particularly fussed about until PCPer brought it to light..

Anyhow, since the server reboot a few days after the latest patch everything has been visibly smoother for me in BF4. Strange how before the server reboot I didn't notice much then loads straight after. Makes me wonder if 99% of reported performance issues with this game are server side issues that can't be avoided by the consumer.
