Yes, its relentless and unpredictable.
Simply put, it shouldn't have been released in the state its in.
Vsync caps the frame rate at the monitors refresh rate to prevent screen tear, so guessing you have a 120hz monitor? Most would recommend to have it disabled for fps games, as the old theory gos, the quicker you see someone on screen the quicker you can shoot them, I don't know how well this applies to bf4 but it is/was a big deal on the quake engines 
Christ, let me go check what a pair of 780's are doing, was avg around 140 pre patch.
Edit: If I can get in a game, 5 different servers, 5 different errors **** you dice.
"You were disconnected from EA Online [1]" is by far the most informative error of all time.
Aaaaand now its put window into recovey mode. Surely I'd have been better of just downloading a virus? At least they're free.

Yep, was reading something about this on Reddit last night, seems to be happening throughout the game not just specific scenarios too.
IMO dice need to save face and pull the game until they decide to test it properly.
A fair few games release with minor niggles, but a supposed AAA game to be completely borked 3-4 weeks after retail release, that also had a lengthy supposed 'beta' testing is unacceptable.

Oh wow, so we get a months worth of a broken game and get rewarded with a double XP weekend? So very very kind of them, must have been a strain to part with all that XP 
Oh lets not forget the oh so handy pistol scope that no one will use, ever.
They could at least make it something worth while, like the first map pack free or some origin store credit etc...
