The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Well I think it's a given that one of the top two belts will change hands - as well as the ECW belt heading back to... well... ECW!

Also, i'm expecting both tag team belts to change hands as well.

The rest I think will retain, apart from the Intercontinental, which i'm reserving judgement on until I see that they have in store for Y2J.

Aye there needs to be a title change in 1 of the main matches else both belts will be on Smackdown! Reckon Batista will win and take the big belt to Raw with him leaving HHH as king of Smackdown with the WWE title.

i dont think edge will drop the title. think he will lose it to undertaker when he returns

i do think cena will win, i dont think they will take the top title from raw as its the main show.

Not a bad one at all - and I know what you mean about the surprises!

One of them just had me sat there with my mouth open in amazement. ;)

Ok here's what I made of it all....

WWE Tag Team Championship: Good fast paced hard hitting opening match, really entertaining start to the show. Unsurprised by the result as the wwe would be stupid to bring an end to the reign of their best and most over tag team's run as champs.

US Championship: Awful match, without doubt the worst of the night. It's become increasingly clear to me that Chavo Guerrero is a useless performer and due to his size compared to Hardy it just wasn't believable that he could have any sustained offence. Dont get me wrong though Matt Hardy was very bad himself as well.

ECW Championship: Another really entertaining match, looked at one point that Kane was really hurt after that sick looking fall to the outside but alas he got back in and continued the match and for once actually looked really good (loved the pop when he got back in the ring). The middle segment when Kane was outside recovery between Big Show and Henry was a little scrappy but like I said for the most part this was a good contest. Sucks that Henry is champ though albeit the actual ending weren't bad.

World Tag Team Championship: Wasn't really a match was it and the minute DiBiase said his partner was running late it was obvious that the rumours about Rhodes turning heel were correct so no real surprise in that or the result

IC Championship: What an anti climax this one was, they could have had Jeff Hardy, they could have had CM Punk but no instead they gave us the less talented Shelton Benjamin rip off and if that weren't bad enough they actually had he go and win while they were at it  Match sucked as does this injury angle HBK is plugging.

Women's Championship: On par with the US title match for candidate for worst match of the night! Katie Lea sucks, send her back to OVW or wherever they send those who have no ability go these days. Scrap this Diva's Championship BS and just have Natalya challenge Mickie James for her belt instead

World Heavyweight Championship: This was better than all three of Edge & Batista's matches from last year put together, ***** ending though, why couldn't they just have Edge win somewhat cleanly instead of it being such an unbelievable screw job that if this was the real world Vickie Guerrero would be sacked for such an abuse of power - was fun to see Batista hurl her that high up in the air though

WWE Championship: Match of the Night and very nearly Match of the Year so far IMO. Was the one I was looking forward to the most and it didn't disappoint me, loved every second of it to the point that despite being 100% pro Triple H at the start I wouldn't of actually minded Cena walking out with the belt at the end. Brilliant move by the E though to keep both titles on Smackdown, really does make things interesting from here on in...

Overall the two main title matches really made this a really good ppv, before that it was a solid entertaining event but the two main events really gave it the X factor that a main event should give a show. Well worth the purchase!

just finished watching this, and since tom84 spoiled everything for people who aint seen it yet i can talk about it aswell :p

cant believe they have kept both wwe and whc on sd, could they move it back to raw when randy orton returns? i really thought cena would win it as its extremly obvious edge wasnt going to lose.

highlight of the night was honswaggle kicking some ass, with a stunner :P

i guessed this would happen before the event begun, they will kick off a storyline tonight on RAW about the titles being on SD
a world title will end up back on RAW at some point, possibly the next PPV. then again summerslam isnt too far away so it could drag out that long

will be interesting to see were they take it next

also batista has given vicky another reason to spend the next year in a wheel chair holding her neck after being thrown over the top rope :p

What a very VERY bad ppv - so god damn predictable. HHH v Cena match of the year candidate? Don't make me laugh its the same match we've seen them put on 10 times before.

Raw best be good to spice it up.

hes ruined it.

but when they made the JBL match, i assumed the title would just swap. maybe they can build CM punk to be a credible title holder.

IMO they should have kept it away from RAW for atleast one more PPV, see how it would affect the ratings.

i cant wait for this JBL cena rivalry. their last oen cultivated into one of the best i quit matches i have seen.

i cant help wondering how eddie would fit, were he still alive :(
