The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

i watched what i think was a TNA special event last nite on bravo, only caught the first match and it was more entertaining than a whole wwe ppv, although most of the wrestlers have completly stupid names like curry man or shark boy.

Haven't watched TNA or WWE in a long while but it's just gimmicks yeah? ;)

Because Shark Boy is such a huge way away from The Hurricane, The Undertaker or Jimmy Wang Yang.

Curry Man may be a silly name, but the guy playing it is Christopher Daniels... an aboslute freaking legend and an awesome talent.

Shark Boy was and always will be a huge indy talent and really nothing more.

aj styles and samoa joe are my fav.

i just wish sting would turn heal, it would be brilliant

The writers were planning on it, but Sting said no. This was all around the time they were trying to get Sting to sign another contract; so I assume they didn't pursue the idea long :(

its good to see SD are putting adverts when R truth does his dancing now :p

and whats with that guy who pops up with 1 liners that arnt funny.

Gregory Helms?

He's been out with injury for a while IIRC, I think they're building him up for a return.

I would go as far as to say that the best feud at the moment is probably the ECW one with Matt Hardy and Mark Henry.

cyber sundays on this sunday at 12 on sky sports 2

My predictions:

WWE Championship (WWE Universe chooses challenger)

HHH vs Jeff Hardy - HHH retains

Undertaker vs. Big Show (WWE Universe chooses type of match)

Probably Last Man Standing, although who wins is anybody's guess.

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Batista (WWE Universe chooses referee)

Steve Austin to referee, Batista to take the belt.

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio (WWE Universe chooses type of match)

Not sure about match type, probably No Holds Barred, and I think Kane will win it.

ECW Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Matt Hardy's opponent)

Evan Bourne to win the vote, but Matt Hardy to retain.

Cyber Sunday Preview Match (WWE Universe chooses United State Champion Shelton Benjamin's opponent)

What a stupid vote. Who on Earth is going to vote for MVP or Festus over R-Truth? Easy win for the guy, and I think he'll take the belt as well.

Intercontinental Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Santino Marella's opponent)

Honky-Tonk Man, with Santino to retain (but in some hilarious way).

Pick the Tag Team Match

This is hard one to call. I don't think people will go for the Miz/Morrison/Cryme Tyme match, but I think Jamie Noble has a lot of sympathy and might get a chance to get revenge. However I think the title match will probably be the most likely, although i've not got a clue if the belts will change if it does.

Stealing the template here hehe :D

HHH vs Jeff Hardy - HHH retains

Undertaker vs. Big Show (WWE Universe chooses type of match)

Last Man Standing - Undertaker

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs. Batista (WWE Universe chooses referee)

Steve Austin will be the ref - Batista wins clean

Kane vs. Rey Mysterio (WWE Universe chooses type of match)

As much as i hate to say it i think Rey will beat Kane even though i hate the bookers for this; i think in a no holds barred match

ECW Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Matt Hardy's opponent)

Finaly?? Matt Hardy will retain for sure if he wrestles finlay.

Cyber Sunday Preview Match (WWE Universe chooses United State Champion Shelton Benjamin's opponent)

R-Truth - Wins clean and gets the belt

Intercontinental Championship Match (WWE Universe chooses Santino Marella's opponent)

Honky-Tonk Man, with Santino to retain (but in some hilarious way). <-- Exactly!

Pick the Tag Team Match

Priceless vs punk and kofi, Priceless to win

i think the wwe championship match will be a triple threat with HHH retaining

for undertaker v big show

im really hoping something like when they show the vote the screen will go wierd then a 4th option will apear, 'hell in a cell' and will get 100% then taker kicks crap out of big show :p

I just can't see anyone voting for Kozlov - so if it does turn out to be anything but a straight match between the other two i'm going to have to assume that WWE rigged the votes.

And two HIAC matches in a year? :p

Don't think I'm going to stay up for this but you can vote for 2 matches on WWE.com. I voted for R-Truth to face Shelton Benjamin and for The Big Show v Taker match to be an I quit match.

All the other ones are done via text.

It was a big steaming pile of manure. How utterly predictable it all was. I was sitting with a mate and I went, so he is going to clotheslined here and here and low and behold he does. Anyone else notice Vickie's mistake? :D

Was worth watching just to see the WHC match. Steve Austin still has it, and it made for one hell of a match. :D

I actually turned off just before the WWE Championship match though, I knew Jeff would win the vote but HHH would retain, and I couldn't be bothered to watch the same match we saw 3 weeks ago.

Flicked back on after and shock horror - I was right. If the WWE isn't careful they're going to make SD very very unpopular on grounds of it being so damn boring.
