The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

Maybe...still think could have been someone better then Lesnar. Very little build up for this match, for it to be considered an acceptable loss.

There will never be a right time for something like that though, it had to be done somehow, and tbh, Paul Heyman's reaction after helped & put over what a big deal it was, no arrogance, no celebrations per say, just his manic excited state that it had been done, as said there will never be a way to do something like this to please everyone, but it was done very well for what it was.

Gotta say I agree with you on Heymans reaction! Just wish they would have built the match more then what they did, or perhaps someone different instead of Lesnar.

See what you mean, perhaps there wouldn't have been a right time either way.

But them not building the match was perfect!

Because it made you think that there was no chance it was ever going to end to someone like Brock, someone that they barely bothered to hype. That made the shock even more hard hitting, it was brilliance.

There was a lot of outrage initially, but I think a lot of people are starting to realise the brilliance of it all

I don't think its brilliant building it for a part timer or someone who fails to generate a lot of love or heat, especially by himself, completely carried by Heyman out of the ring. It was a **** choice

It absolutely was a brilliant choice, simply because of the outrage it caused. The heat he generated by beating Taker was ridiculous, did you not even watch RAW last night?

Who would you have chosen? There is no one else. And how do you know that there is not something in Brocks contract now to suggest he's got to make more appearances after a certain point.

Dont think it was perfect imo, but thats just me. Building proper hype like some of the past contenders to his streak you still thought undertaker had it and he could have lost - to Shawn for example (I would have liked to see that personally). From the many forums both here and from family in the states from what I hear it is a split reaction with more siding with it being a mistake to end it like that more then anything.

Everyone has their opinion thats just mine...If I had to choose, it would have been good story-wise only - to see shawn win it on his second try. But I wouldnt have ended it I would have had him vs Sting (if he signs etc etc or perhaps some other guy ready for a push) and it end a draw with that being undertakers final WM match.

But it is what it it lol, Undertaker still a legend as always!:)

Taker losing even resurrected tis thread to more than 1 post a week! :D

I would have been happy for him to lose to HBK in the 2nd match purely because of being a big HBK fanboy and not wanting him to retire, even though it was plainly evident, that and Taker helped with those last few seconds putting him as the rebellious, in your face, face and that was beautiful to watch!

The Lesnar loss, while a lot of people don't see it yet, it was right, hopefully Lesnar will go more full time, Taker wouldn't lose an ounce of credibility for this, if anything would gain more kudos than ever, he's a team player and he wouldn't want to stay unbeaten and look like the old veteran who come sback once a year, refuses to drop his streak and takes his years paycheck, he's not Hogan, who whores himself around company to company & wouldn't put guys over, Taker is a class act. Reminds me of his match in '99 vs Ken Shamrock, first time you saw him as animated, in agony, screaming away at the holds etc.. he didn't HAVE to do that, if he'd have said no, it probably wouldn't have happened!

(Excuse the random ranting!) :D

Was thinking that same thing about this thread! haha. Same here with HBK, didnt want him to retire either.

Taker sure is a team player, that's for certain one of the last oldskool wrestlers left!

I can see why they had Lesnar end the streak. I mean whoever was gonna end it was automatically going to become the biggest heel in the company, and if anyone can be that guy then Brock should.

HOWEVER, Brock should only be that guy if he's gonna stick around. They've just paired Heyman with Cesaro which almost certainly indicates that Brock is going on another hiatus again. So why have a monster heel end the streak and then not stick around to build on it?

The streak was as much creative's decision as it was 'taker's. I understand and absolutely think 'taker was right to have a say but Brock is not a guy who needs to go over 'taker, not least because he's almost certainly going to vanish for a few months.

I'd be very surprised if 'taker wrestles again though.

Really enjoyed both WM and Raw. Particularly Raw last night.

Cesaro and Hayman are a great fit and will continue to get Cesaro over.

Bad News Barrett back in the ring! and for anyone who missed the HoF this clip is brilliant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQHEztYAiqE

I thought Paige was being buried when she looked nervous and got slapped by AJ. Did not see her picking up a win.

If you think Undertaker is never wrestling again after Heyman dissed him last night and screamed about him being a loser while Taker was in hospital with severe concussion, you are mistaken.

Wrestling again for sure. Will probably gain redemption over Brock at Summerslam or something or next years WM, then that will be it.

Brock signed a 4 year deal in 2012, he's going nowhere

Also, Brock was chosen by Taker, they have a lot of history and are good friends outside of wrestling, so that and "best for business" reasons were why Brock was picked

Taker is done, he won't wrestle again. Everything about his Mania match and how he left the ring suggested he was done

Yes of course Brock is going nowhere, but he'll almost certainly be off the radar for a good few months now. Giving a part timer the biggest heat of our generation, no matter how good that part timer is, is just really bad booking as far as I'm concerned. 'taker may have wanted him but it's certainly looking as though the streak was busted for nothing. Unless they bring Brock back sooner, which I highly doubt.

I really don't think Cesario getting Heyman is a sign of Brock going away. If anything, it's probably to go along with Heymans storyline of proving he's the best manager in existence because he beat the streak.

I just can't see anyone else in the company who could have done it other than Brock, that wasn't already over and a big enough star or that would have crumbled under the pressure of being the guy that beat the streak

We'll see I guess. I really hope I'm wrong cause I do agree, there's no one else who could have done and as I said, I definitely understand why he was chosen. I just wish he was full time.

If Brock goes full time and just crushes everyone like he should be doing...
